Keep trollin there Trolly McTrollerson.
I make a lot less money in my current job than many I have been offered because its what I want to do. How do you have this inside information on Gruden and what his motivations are? Maybe he likes the challenge of coaching and is tired of being "Marv Albert".
Like I said I am here because I want our failure of a coach to be sent packing, and although I would love Gruden I have heard 0 anywhere but in this thread about him specifically. Its all the stuff I hear about Dooley that is so disturbing, and from several people that interact daily with him.
If you have a source that backs up all your diatribes then by all means share, but I guarantee you if you know anyone near the HC in terms of working with-under-alongside him that says he is great.......well you probably do not know them that well.
I havent heard Gruden from any of my sources but I have heard from several people I trust 100% that
1. Dooleys job is on the field in Starkville. We lose tomorrow night, he is gone. Not necessarily immediately but the decision will be made and he will most likely know his fate.
2. A friend and former teammate fo mine in HS thta played very successful SEC ball and worked with Saban and Dooley at LSU told me when he was hired that "Dooley is a blue-blood that acts like the spoiled brat that he is every time things do not go his way" and that Saban liked him because he was a "Yes man that was no threat at all". The players there abused him, and the players here do the same except here it matters.
3. Even if Dooley does win in Starkville he will need to look good vs Bama and USCjr and then win the last 4 with a good bowl showing to be GUARANTEED another year.
I don't drink either...At least anymore  But hey if he is annouced as head coach...One won't hurt anything
Who knows..I said last night on here if he is hired as our coach I will dance on the roof of my home and then I'll streak down my neighborhood street..Better warn the neighbors b/c they will get a show..That can be good or bad.:naughty:
Similarly, the UGA game was the worst case scenario. We lost a close one. I would have preferred any other result.Lunch and I needed a destressor. LOL that or I'm a gluton for punishment....Either way, another thought that comes to mind, and I am an admitted Dooley guy for the next 2 weeks anyway, is how bad it would be to see a mediocre performance this week just good enough to win without any real improvement over what we have seen. Even the doubters have seen moments of good football so far. Pains me to say this but if the figurative tide has already turned against Dooley then it would almost be better to lose by a wide margin if a coaching change is seriously being considered by the AD. No great addition to the conversation I know and it has probably already been discussed here but hey I needed a momentary distraction. Now back to pulling what is left of my hair out.
As to Hart contacting Patterson and him being Harts man. Unless this was done through sending out feelers, it is a smoke screen. As we all know with a HC in place, Hart does not talk to any coach, that's not proper. If Hart has selected Patterson, as has been stated, that can only mean that CDD has been told. And we will be in trouble for not asking his employer for permission to talk to him. Nothing but a smoke screen.
I love the argument by some here, that Gruden wouldn't be a good college coach because he never coached college.
That's like saying a 5 star restaraunt chef would have difficulty cooking for a family at home.
Dykes has been a smash hit in the player-relations department, too. Many of his older players are simply a whole lot happier than they were under Dykes predecessor, Derek Dooley, now at Tennessee.
There was such a big change, said center Stephen Warner. Coach Dykes is a whole lot more personable than Coach Dooley was. Hes a guy whos going to ask you how youre doing when he passes you in the hallway, instead of not knowing who you are.
Further proving my points about Dooley and how the players feel about him, in La Tech style.
Kind of reinforces my friend that worked with him and his assessment of Dooley as a "Spoiled Blue Blood that the players will never play for".

Another good one:
And our whole attitude is just better, Warner said. Anyone on this team would lay down whatever it took for this program. Thats a lot different from the way it was a few years agofrom Its about me to Its about us.

Be careful....some will accuse you of cheering against the Vols with logic like that.
For a similar example....see the Georgia game.
