There is alot of chatter on tigerdroppings about Jon Gruden replacing Les Miles at years end if Les Miles loses to Alabama in Tiger Stadium this season. That would make Miles 0-3 vs. Saban. At first I thought it was just "hear say" fan chatter but now they have an article posted on ESPN Insider about this being a real possibility. Could you guys imagine what would happen to this site if Jon Gruden passed on the UT job but accepted the LSU gig? I do not even want to imagine.

I find that hard to believe on both ends. But I have been wrong many times. I just don't see Miles getting the plug pulled on him, and I see Gruden going back to the NFL.

Well, in that case Miles aught to just start packing..

Since he has no shot already...

ESPN pays him a truck load of money to sit in a booth and call the game and talk about football with none of the stress. The chances of this happening are less and 1%

I believe Les Miles has a real possibility of getting fired after this year if they lose more than 3 games and fail to beat Bama. I do not, however, think Jon Gruden will replace him as their new Head Coach.

Why would he come back to the college game when he could be a head coach in the NFL if he wanted to. Im sure there are some NFL teams that would love to have him and probably get paid more too. I just dont see him going to LSU IMO.

actually most of those guys want del rio

They do. But I find it hard to believe that Jacky Boy is going to turn down the So Cal Job but accept the LSU job. But then again, Del Rio's wife is from Baton Rouge so I guess that is a possibility.

I thought CLM won the first meeting with Saban.

Still, LSU will always under perform with that knucklehead at the helm. DD my have not have been my first choice, but I would take him everytime over that goof.

Okay, I could see that happening, if he lost the games. However, I think that LSU is going to be #2 in the division this year. Therefore, Miles keeps the job another year. Just my opinion.

My sources tell me that Gruden would only leave if Monte Kiffin his D coordinator leaves to join his son Lane Kiffin in Oakland.
