I was impressed with Crompton during the O&W game saturday. I saw a young QB with loads of potential and with Cut coaching him, I see a promising future for him. The kid has size, decent speed, a great arm. I never saw one ball not spiral during the game. He was very efficient in throwing, his mechanics were extremely good and his release is solid and quick. I like the future for our QB's. I just hope Cut stays around long enough, atleast 3 years, please, please, please.

I was impressed with the kid as well and I think he has a bright future. I did think he looked like a really good freshman though. I thought he was late on a couple of passes and off target from time to time. Overall I thought he did very well and established himself as the 2nd string qb and the future star of our Offense. Like most freshman qbs he didn't quite have command of the O as well as he will need and a few times he looked a little confused. But all in all I give him high marks.

fine for the most part. I think he mostly needs time and reps. Mechanically he looked good from the ground up.

Does he still have a "dirty sanchez?"

His arm looks good. Im impressed with him. I honestly think he is more talented than Ainge all around. Better mechanics, better footwork, better mobility.

what is a dirty scanchez?????
:stop: Answering that question would violate most of the boardÂ’s rules. LetÂ’s just say he was referring to CromptonÂ’s cheesy mustache. If you want to know more, IÂ’d advise a Google search on the subject (and some privacy).

I think he looked like a really good freshman and Ange looked (finally) like a true SEC calibur starting QB. JC has tremendous potential but he is not ready to start over EA. I thought the player that showed the most improvement without a doubt was EA. He looked like the kind of QB we thought he could be. I think this year we will have what we thought all along.

Im glad to hear that about Crompton. I was waiting for that game to come on Sunday & my dang cable went off & I didnt get to watch one bit of it. I was wondering how he did & looks like he did pretty good!

Crompton called a timeout and when he went over to the sideline, Cut chewed him out. Under Sanders, he would not have been chewed out. Sanders would just be laid back and not care that he called the timeout.

he did play very well. Especially when you think this is the first game of football he had played since 04'. Ainge was still far and ahead better but you could definitly see potentional in him. The only problem i had was in some of his decision making on the passes, and i remember 2 or 3 plays that would have been touch downs if he hit his reciever. Some of them he didnt even see the guy and there wasnt a guy within 15 yards of the reciever.

I thought Crompton played well for a freshman, but I doubt he's ready to start in the SEC. He couldn't seem to locate the wide receivers very often and thus most of his passes were to the backs or TEs. He completed a high percentage of his passes, but his yards per completion was under 5. I'd say give him another year to learn and he could be something special.

Ainge blew away Crompton, but for a freshman he played alrght. He complted mostly short high percentage passes and couldnt locate recievers down field one bit. He could have had 3 or 4 TD's if he would have even seen the guys down field. The one he did he underthrew the guy so much he had to stop turn arond and dive for the ball

It'll come to him in time. This was his first "live action" and as telent depleted as some think we are - there are stilt ton of fast guys on that field.

I by no means was or am dogging JC. I am impressed and think he will be the next starter after EA and I think he will be a star. It sure appears that he has what it takes.
