Dang...just saw his highlight tape (JUCO), and this kid has some skills in this department.

Jonathan Johnson - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl

Why not put him in as the KR and Dallas as the PR? I'm scratching my head with the decision to put Jacob Carter in their as the PR. Might be a good call if they just want someone with good hands and concentration to field the punt, but not so much if they expect him to do anything with it afterwards. Even Blanc would be a better choice for that duty, imho.

Take out last year and they have had trouble fielding a kick for years. Catch the ball and worry about running after you know how to field it.

Again I say CBJ KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOIN. You question every position and always know who would be better. Have you put in a resume cause apparently you watch a lot of film. As long as they can catch the ball I'm happy

Hello McFly...this IS a message board and we do opine here. There's no need for a message board at all if all we do is our shake our pom-poms. You can do that on twitter.

Guess coach feels brick by brick. Start with finding someone who will catch and not put the team in a hole with a fumble then as season goes along try to find someone who can both catch and run back. Since they practice this everyday I trust he knows what he is doing. Look for him to recruit someone who excels at this.

I thought Dallas looked slow, but he actually was quite effective. If CBJ wants to stick with him and he trusts carter (who also played well) then I'm behind him 100%

But let me say this. I am liking what I see from him at WR this far. He has something.

Totally agree. At this point, I would be ok starting JJ, North, and Josh Smith. Croom doesn't seem to be quite there yet. Pig would be the first man off the bench. That's just me.

Recruit someone who excels at this = Vic. Literally returns a kick for a TD every game he plays. Was the District Special Teams Player of the Year last year iirc.

There are way too many on here that don't opine -- they just whine about everything

Johnson does look like a good returner and he may get a chance. The two we had did a decent job though

There you go. CBJ is ahead of VN posters. Who'd a thunk it?

I like the ball control by our football team, seems like everyone that carries the football has the thing high and tight. Good coaching, good results.

I go with the coach. He has seen every practice and has a pretty good idea which player can do what he wants.
