The more I hear about him, the more excited I get! I think this has the potential to be a great hire.

Good article on GoVolsXtra.com: University of Tennessee sports news from The Knoxville News Sentinel. I did not like the title of article, (with first class ...) but the article is about the visits with this years recruits. I thought it was interesting to hear some details on the visits.

This is his first class. Unless you want to say he had an even playing field with his 31 days and a predecessor who gave up on recruiting, at which point you'll find your way on the ignore list.

CBJ shows a passion about UT football and the Vol tradition that was lacking the last three years and I believe that same passion will show up in the players. That should translate into a lot of interest in recruits. I believe the Vols will be no worse than 7-5 next season and even better thereafter. Go Vols!!!

I like his vision. He understands what it takes to be successful and to have a winning program. It's rather ironic, but he seems so much smarter than the lawyer coach we got rid of. The man's a worker and he's surrounded by guys with the same mentality.

If there's one thing I've liked about Jones so far, it's the fact that he is going after game changers. I realize he had limited time, but he must dramatically improve his success rate at actually landing these guys.

There. I can post something positive.

very true. he has to show something on the field this season. the program needs a win to hang its hat on. the fanbase needs a coach to rally around. both of these things can happen this year. i know its crap logic, but the SECw being so stacked and beating up on each other may help us sneak a couple big victories in the next couple years. the only good thing that can come from all the past few years of losing, is that a win against UGA, UF, LSU, or UA and CBJ becomes instant Moses of a sort..

CBJ has almost 12 months to pull in a top-10 recruiting class. I will withhold my judgments/opinions regarding CBJ's (and staff) recruiting prowess til signing day 2014. It will be interesting to see his coaching abilities in 195 days...
