The guy was there for 3 years and actually won conference titles. A far cry from ducking out in the middle of the night like Kiffin

Cincy will always be a stepping stone job, just like arky state.

If every coach that took another job after 3 seasons in December was a Kiffin then there would be hundreds of Kiffin's.

It's December... The appropriate time to hire coaches. He performed his job well, and is taking a massive upgrade after three years.

That USA article was writter by a columinist out of Cinncy. Here's list of commentaries dating back to 12/2009 and not a single one has a Cincinnati Bearcat Football article...till now. But some on KY basketball, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, plenty on the Bengals and Reds.

On a side note if Tuberville left Texas Tech after three years all of a sudden to become the new HC, was his commitment to TT just a pretense as well?

The question if Cinncy was not that big of a school when Jones was there why did Tuberville leave Texas Tech?

Then you have that idot of a writter ripping Jones for leaving after three yers saying it was all a charade and pretended to like it there. This same clown is now praising Tuberville as a great person and the right HC. But didn't rip him for leaving Texas Tech after three years or saying Tuberville didn't really care about that program.

It was common knowledge in Lubbock that Tubs was itching to get out and I guess that was his first opportunity.

I think we already got a taste of his knack for selling a line of BS...when he said no stone would go unturned and we would have the best staff in the country (must have meant county, instead). He knew he was simply going to transplant his previous staff, here. Like Bruce Pearl, about the BBQ....no need to lie.

Hypocrites, TommyT pretty much did the same thing. He has been trying to get out for two years now like they claim Jones was as well. Yet, they will likely embrace TT.

Texas Tech AD also said Tuberville looked him in the eye and I'm committed to Texas Tech the day before taking the Cincinnati job.
