He's a step up from Dooley, who had a losing record at La. Tech, for gawd's sake. However, we needed two or three steps up from Dooley--not one. We basically settled because that's the best Hart could do, apparently. We needed a GOOD coach--a guy who could mix it up with the big-time staffs in this league--and we had the money and the tradition and the facilities to get one--but Hart could not pull it off. That's what it comes down to. A better AD would have done better. I hope Jones turns out to be a great hire, and then Hart wil be a hero--but we could have got him on day one and it's hard not to think it's going to uphill for this guy in what is a beastly conference. :hi:
