Just wondering if anyone saw how Duke Crews did in the game? I was out of the house and did not get a chance to watch it...

I didn't get to see it personally but from everything I heard he was a complete monster.

I heard his line was 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists. I also heard he had a couple big dunks and a big block that was called goaltending early. The bad thing I heard was that he stood around alot on both ends and wasn't as into it as he usually is(I'm guessing Pearl told him to throttle down a little to prevent injury).

I did not see the game, but I live near Nashville and the local news showed him warming up for the game. He is more atheltic and can jump higher than any player at Tennessee in a long long time. I believe He will start from Game one!!!!!!

The DUKE is the new sheriff in the SEC!!!!!! :gun: :gun: :gun:

This question is for anyone that has seen Duke play multiple times and is familiar with his abilities more than most of us are...

Is he a kind of player that could be a 1 or 2 year player and then make the jump to the NBA or would it be somewhat safe to think he will be here at least 3 years?? I have not seen the guy play personally but everyone seems really high on him, so how long should we expect him to be on the Hill..??

Watched the game and Duke Crews looked pretty good, real athletic. But, the kid from Memphis, Thaddeus Young, was a monster. Sure wished Bruce could have reeled him in, but I think we'll be alright without him.

I think Duke will be gone in 2.

Yeah Thad was a monster, but he raved all week about Crews. He said he should have been a McD AA.

I was really impressed with that young and the kid that is going to Cincy that looked like he was about 28 (I forget his name). Also Mike Jones played well. Who? Mike Jones!

Crews showed his ability a couple of times but he was definitely standing around a lot. Not that I blame him considering some of the shots that were being thrown up, but still.

Pearl probably showed up too late to be able to have a chance at Young, although I can't remember when Young committed to GT.

wow...yea Thaddeus Young ripped it up with his 22 and 11... but lets not get too exited about what happens in this game because what is most important for these young players is the coaching they recieve and their development in the college level

I am pretty sure that Pearl tried to get in late on Young. At that point, no way was he going to consider coming to a team like Tennessee. I think it would be a different story if they could make a decision based on what they know now.
