McRae has been suspended for a violation of team rules and is not dressed out today. Expect more from Pearl later according to Kesling.

No biggie, they don't play him anyways due to the superstar that is Mcbee. I still don't get why they didn't just redshirt Mcrae.

Can't understand why we haven't developed McCrae. Hopson will never live up to his hype. Look at today v UConn: fumble fingers, makes few contested shots, only defense is circumstantial. His turnovers alone are the difference in the game. He's gotta go or we'll have trouble getting past the first round of the tournaments. McRae would seemingly offer potential.

Are you suggesting playing McRae over Hopson?

another head case, we'll have to wait on kevin ware next year. mcrae isn't ready to be developed. he should have been red-shirted, but it's too late now. such a shame, he was talented in high school but this is another world.

This team would be undefeated if potential won games.

Don't see how you're able to label him a headcase. The guy's been given zero opportunity this season. Stupid decision not to redshirt him.

What I'm really suggesting is that I don't see recognition that Hopson is not capable of being the go-to guy and therefore no attempts to develop a substitute. Indicates the coaches see enough of the others in practice to judge them incapable of being as good - which isn't very - and therefore sending a clear signal that the hype associated with those other players recruitment was just that - hype - and that, in fact, this team isn't capable.

I'm not sure I'm ready to believe this.

Perhaps; but only if we define potential based on what we've been told about the others, about their performances in high school and at previous schools. But, maybe that's all oversold.

Philosophically, I'm in complete agreement> "Potential" is like a handicap is to a golfer: an indicator of how well a player can play, not of how well he will. As was said in another business I once was in: "Potential never did anything."

This according to Griff.

A source on the team, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they lack the authorization to speak publicly on the matter, said McRae’s suspension is a result of a verbal altercation with a teammate on the team bus in Hartford.

Do you think he may have gotten up in Scotty's grill for being so lackadaisical? If that's what happened he's a goner. No one goes up against the golden boy Hopson.
