Tennessee defensive lineman enters NCAA transfer portal

freshman defensive lineman Jordan Phillips entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive lineman appeared in three games for the Vols this season. He notched one tackle in the season finale versus Vanderbilt.

Phillips might have ended up a good player had the stayed and developed for a few years: however, I always thought he was noticeably smaller than our other defensive tackles when noticing him during volwalk and pregame drills. He looked more like 6-0, maybe 6-1, 280-290ish. I hope he transfers to USF.
