Tennessee Football News
Per Evan Woodbery: Bad injury news: 5th-year senior TE Joseph Ayres tore ACL. His season, and likely career, are over. His dad confirmed the news to the KNS.

Hate to hear this, no matter who it is.

Who's that?

I'm a Chattanoogan so I remember him playing at Mccallie here in town. A hard worker who saw some action as a walk on in Dooley's first year as an undersized DL. I don't care who it is, I always hate to see a fallen Vol. Feel bad for the guy and thanks to him for all of his work and effort for the Big Orange.

Hate it for him. Anyone who lived through all 3 years of the Dooley regime doesn't deserve that. Thanks for being a Vol, Joseph.

He has been a VFL, accepting moves back and forth between DL and OL as needed. I won't forget him getting thrown into action as a freshman walk-on defensive tackle, at LSU, and doing a pretty fair job as we damn near pulled out the upset.

Stay strong, Joseph, you'll recover and go on to better days.
