Josh Dobbs' play vs. Missouri (merged)

God Dobbs played avg at best but yet VN is still building him up.

3 turnovers bad passes etc.. Actually no one knows if he is going to be good or not so stop the homo..please

We could have had Peyton Manning at QB tonight but we would have still had the drops, false starts and they would have still went thru our D like a hot knife thru butter. When you give up 300+ on the ground you are going to lose.

I would just caution that most on here were calling Palardy a big bust up until this year. Coached well by Dooley not! Dooley the fool even brought in a frat boy to kick so credibility is a little shaken on what most say.

When do we get a break, it seems like every time we turn around someone else has a true freshman play like an all-American, or a back up comes in and lights it up. Don't get me wrong I know BUTCH GETS IT but damn It seems like everyone else gets the breaks and we are stuck with just bricks....

Dobbs might be very good, but even if he was, you'd never know because our offensive line couldn't manage to keep him stationary and in the pocket on dropback throws.

Also would help if our receivers didn't have hands made of tree bark.

Once again our lack of speed on D was exposed... Toney is really bad, we should be seeing Gordan at that position

Going in to this game, the big unknown was Dobbs. And about that part, I actually feel better. Other parts of the team, need to study film and/or look in the mirror and do better.

Of all the games, this is the one where we needed to establish the running game and we didn't. That put too much pressure on Dobbs. O-Line penalties also pressured Dobbs. I believe some of it is getting used to new QB nuances but we can't have that going forward.

Back to Dobbs, made some rookie mistakes and he was off on several of his throws. Maybe he should have kept the rock a few extra times and ran. He displayed great potential though.

I think Mizzou can hang with Bama and aTm. Their D may be enough to win against aTm, Bama has a slight edge but must play thier A game or Mizzou will upset them.

Unfortunately I missed most of the game and was only able to check up on the score from time to time. What happened on Dobbs' three turnovers? Int's or fumbles and how? From the highlights and just looking at the stats, it looks like Dobbs played okay, some rookie mistakes but accounted for most of our offense.

Sounds like the O line didn't get it done again and the D is what it is until we get better speed and have enough depth to not play walk ons and 2 star DB's. I'm ready for some new blood on the O line if this is the best ground game we can muster.

Not sure what to think, but I do know I'm not sold on this pseudo "read option" spread type offense. Maybe that changes when we get more speed in here.
