Notes...

-Texas A&M is as good on defense as any team in the country.
-On Eric Berry being honored... that guy represents everything that is good about Tennessee football.
-Dont'e Thornton has worked at both inside and outside receiver.
-Jacob Warren has developed as a dynamic leader for this team.
-Anticipate Doneiko Slaughter being available to play this week.

Donte Thorton eventually has a huge breakout game. He was very good at Oregon last season and he's been open for potential big plays more than a few times, but just feels like him and Milton haven't quite gotten on the same page yet. But I think they will. Just a matter of when.

Last question of the press conference: "There was a pretty good game out in Dallas, the Red River Rivalry or something like that, I was wondering if you got a chance to watch that game?"

CJH: "I saw the last drive. Great job by Dillon and that offensive unit. That was not the game I was watching early in the day."

This makes sense, especially since we do not play either of those teams. Which early game do you think CJH was watching?

- Maybe his son had a game?

- LSU vs. Missouri?

Wow. Shortest press conference ever. Did reporters all have early tee times?
really surprised that nobody asked if Dee Williams got any work at WR during off week.

He said his son had a game Saturday morning. So maybe that's where he was.

With A&M spying Milton, our TEs might have a huge day on seam routes and short-to-intermediate crossing routes.
As often as Burton was open on Sat, I'm hoping we scout that section of the film really well and attack it! Milroe and Milton seem very close the part, in my opinion when it comes to their passing. Wish Joe would use his legs as effective sometimes, without him getting happy feet though.

Back when Eric and Janzen Jackson were in our defensive backfield, that was probably the most talent we ever had at that position at one time.

Not even close to the late 90s. Fred White and Deon Grant say, “hold my beer!”

I consider Berry and Grant as relative equals. But White >>>Jackson. JMO.

I guarantee the film room will be focusing on DeBerry and what routes gave him trouble.

Probably his son.

If I studied football for a living I wouldn’t waste time watching it on live TV, I would have staff cut the game up for me so I could see what was going on without having to wade through commercials, reviews and all the nonsense.
