NOTES...

-Practice has been good. They've been locked in. They're excited about this one. They understand the type of opponent that we're playing. The timing of the bye week came at the right time for us.

-The line of scrimmage is going to be critical. People get caught up in the amount of sacks A&M has, but they've been really good against the run too. They've forced teams into a lot of third and long. You've got to go make one-on-one plays on the perimeter.

-I anticipate a great environment here. We need our fans to step up. They need to be a factor in the football game.

-On Eric Berry... dynamic playmaker that changed the way the game was played in the middle of the football field. Played violently. Played downhill. Just one of the best ever to play the position. I feel that way about college, but also at the next level. I'm really excited to get a chance to spend some time with him on Friday. He'll be with us tomorrow and certainly on game day too.

-Do you anticipate having Dant'e and Deneiko out there? Yeah, guys that have been nicked up have all had good work. We typically wait until Friday or pregame warmups to make the final determination, but I anticipate those guys being ready to roll.

-Chaz, Kaleb, Dont'e -- all of those guys have stepped up. I anticipate all of those guys playing at a really high level.

-Joe has been tough, weathered through every nick and bump that he's had through the course of the seaon. The bye week was good timing for him too.

I hope the Neyland Stadium crowd realizes how important they are this game. Could really be the difference in the game.

I honestly think that if a few breaks go our way early, this could turn into a “leave no doubt” kind of game, rather than the knife fight most are envisioning. Crowd noise will be a big part of that.

Side note: Danny White needs to lean on the Coca Cola marketing department and get them to release some Orange Coke for the Knoxville market. I can’t stand seeing that bright UGA/OSU red up on our podium.
