Josh Richardson is becoming my favorite player

The kid shows a lot of defensive effort, and plays with a lot of heart and energy. He's still raw, but with time he could be a special player for us. Really glad to have a player who wants to play hard on D!!

So maybe Coach Zo might know what he is doing after all? He was clearly using the non-conference early schedule as practice games. Out trots the new line-up and rotations. I agree Richardson is raw, but will be a stud. Now add in Studly Stokes to the mix with continued improvement from Golden, Maymon, McRae, Hall, Woolridge and Washpun. With Tatum to stabilize and an occasional McBee 3 there is potential for the team to at least get an NIT bid this season.

His Defensive IQ is what's getting him PT. The Offensive skill set needs some more work, but he is going to be a good one.

Healthy Cam was a much, much better offensive player. Before losing both knees, Cam could flat score.

I remember after 2007-2008 season where Chris Lofton's cancer treatments came out that Bruce thought about redshirting Chris and starting Cam. That's how highly thought of he was coming in.

He lost knee number one before he played a game in orange. I dont recall if it was in hs he did it or pre season but I know he redshirted his first year here because of his knee.
Sad what could have been, but atleast he stuck with it and got himself a degree, thats more than I can say about many pearl recruits. Starting and ending with a degree from ut was not pearls strong suit.

I'm glad he is starting to get some attention, it's gonna show other what it takes to get on the floor in coach martins system. Play defense and rebound first, let the offense come to you and play within your game, and if your shot ain't dropping get back and play defense even harder. Josh does this and is without a doubt our best on ball defender already, with some good work in the off season I really expect great things from him in the future.
