He has become a nomad from starting in Dallas to going to Philadelphia to Boston and now the Spurs.

His career has evolved into that of a journeyman. Definitely not a bad way to make a living, he gets to play, and he is living a dream. Glad to see he has at the very least been a solid role player his entire career and not one to bounce back and forth between the G League and NBA.

Good move for Josh. Probably will assume a few more minutes...and quite a bit closer to his hometown of Edmund, Oklahoma..

I feel bad for the guy. After having a fairly mediocre/poor year in Philly and then a bad season with Dallas--not a good fit--he's played well
for Boston and I'm sure was pretty happy with his role and having Grant Williams as a teammate. He was a good fit in Boston, and he seemed to regain his confident shooting the ball, which had been his problem the previous two years (did not shoot well). The hard-core Celtic fans
mostly wanted to keep him, even has he's become one of these complementary-type role players now who always seem to be trade bait. It can't be easy getting moved all the time. A lot of guys are traded frequently in the NBA, and most of the trades seem to accomplish very little. Wish him well.

Spurs need players. Maybe he can get a lot more time there. He got a nice pay raise (low taxes & cost of living in SA compared to other towns he’s been in.). Pop finding out its players, not coaches, that win in that league.

I actually think the Keon to Portland trade is a bigger deal long term. With them trading away CJ McCollum this gives Keon a real chance to maybe get some real playtime this year if he can get healthy.

The way salary works for trades in the NBA, and the trade exception Boston had, it was inevitable he was gonna be traded the moment he ever signed with Boston. Just the way it goes.

Don't feel too bad for him. He is living his dream playing and contributing in the NBA and has made over 40 million playing basketball. And that number will be over 50 soon.
Just an amazing transformation from his early years at UT to this sort of career in the NBA. Based on his first couple of years at UT, I never could have imagined he would have this kind of career in the NBA. Incredible.
