Is gonna catch a lot of passes at UT.

Kid is a stud and a hard nosed little guy. Reminds me of another small white dude that catches passes for Peyton.

Runs good routes according to Andre Ware yesterday. He'll just need a whole lot of Stick'm on his hands so he can catch the ball. Not the best hands for sure or not good focus or both.

I hope you're right but I can think of at least 2 big 3rd down drops this year that we very un-stud-like.

He just needs to be more consistent catching the ball. He has had some ugly drops

Yeah I'm not seeing it op. A short slow white dude who cant catch a cold. Probably won't be seeing the field much longer.

He is a true freshman. I agree with op. He is going to be a good one. Has dropped some passes, yes but he is improving each game so I'm excited that he plays for us.

He's a good route runner not good at catch in traffic needs to get in the weight room and toughen up a little.

His future success does look more bleak when you just make up facts that are not true. He has solid size and is not even close to being slow. He caught the ball really well for 4 years in high school and catches the ball very well in practice. He is just struggling to transition it to the games in his true freshman season.Your guess that he wont see the field much longer is not going to be very accurate.

Agreed. Not to compare white WRs, but I just remember how long it took Zach Rogers to come into his own. JoSmith is way further along than he was at this point and has helped this team out a ton. Everyone remembers the drops, but I recall Worley going to him on several occassions and picking up the 1st down.

Very excited to see him over the next 3 years.

Start shooting tennis balls and have him keep catching them. The field has more receptions than our receivers. The defense is not far behind.

So it goes...
Josh is small, 6'1"/193 lbs. - Check
Josh is slow, 4.51 - Check

Some of you people crack me up, he is a freshman who is 3rd on our team with catches and 2nd in total yards. Have you ever noticed that he's beyond his freshman years in route running which could be another big reason he's on the field from day one as s true freshman.

Small, not really... Slow, definitely not. He's going to be a tremendous receiver for us his entire career. Some of you just assume he can't play receiver because he's white which is just plain stupid. :banghead2:

I tend to agree, however he needs to toughen up a bit. He runs great routes and has good hands, but has dropped a few balls when hit hard.
