I never saw him on a roster though. Was he for sure playing?

Maze is not on a roster either. IDK if he was invited though.

I wonder if he's resting up some undisclosed injury that's been bothering him before the training camps? Bizarre regardless.

They said when he pulled out of the dunk contest it was to avoid injuring his shoulder/elbow, but I thought that was more precautionary than anything due to his history. Maybe he has had an injury all along.

Maybe he knows that he doesn't have what it takes without having a jumpshot. Who knows what's going through his head.:salute:

J.P. pulled out of the dunk constest because he's a game dunker not a dunk contest guy. J.P. currently is projected as a late second round picks and many scouts believe his upside as a defensive stopper is intriguing to NBA GM's.

Rather than participating in a Senior Camp where most prospects go undrafted Prince hopes are to match up against the top guards in workouts rather they be Turner, Wall, etc.

His camp believes his game is suited for the more open one on one style of the pro game. IF his right hand and shooting improves he can play at the next level due to his size, versatility, ability to penetrate and dish, and top shelf athleticism.

JP Prince 6-6 195 SG Tennessee Sr.

For Tayshawn's little Cousin it has been a long journey to respectability but after a very impressive run in the tournament, he's entered the second round picture.

JP had another ho-hum season averaging just below 10 points per game. Tennessee's system makes it difficult for wing players such as Prince to standout. His 14.8 ppg on 64% fg in the tourney is a positive sign out of Prince. In the Vol's season ending loss to Michigan State, Prince was a perfect 5-5 fg and 2-2 ft.

Prince is a long, rangy wing with good quickness and defensive ability. He has struggled to live up to expectations throughout his career at Tennessee, but despite never fully realizing the potential he showed in high school, the ability he shows to impact games make him an intriguing prospect.

Good for JP for trying to graduate. I've never seen him on campus, but lately I've seen him a few times driving his red convertible with some other players.
