JT Daniels test positive for COVID

YIKES. One person doesn't get this variant. It's not as bad as the last variant, more like a bad cold, but when one person gets it... everyone gets it until they iso. Expect more.

Is Daniels the first on the team to test positive? What's the protocol, ten days? Fourteen days? Either is bad news if he first tested positive on 12/21.
I believe the SEC lawyers are on the phone right now demanding that the Orange bowl be moved to a later date.

Omicron has been a factor in only a handful of deaths AT MOST across the entire world. If it results in acquired natural immunity then it will end up being a blessing.

The restrictions should NOT be the same for omicron. Before Covid-19 it was recognized that 25% of all common colds were caused by a coronavirus. Omicron's impact is closer to the common cold than early strains.

Ive got the normal two Pfizer vaccinations, but hadn’t been able to get the booster yet and I just tested positive for it. As long as you have at least the regular 2 vaccinations, it’s nowhere near as bad as what we were seeing last summer. I never had it until now, but the people I know who did last year were miserable, and 2 passed away from it.

This strain is very contagious and normal vaccines aren’t as good at preventing you from getting it, but doesn’t seem to be as serious if you got the vaccines and don’t have any conditions. I’m a little sluggish and was stuffy for a day or two, but other than that, I’m fine.

Of course knock on wood and hoping I don’t suddenly stop breathing or whatever.

Apparently Pickett has it too now, so it looks like UGA is gonna be a one man team... putting it all on Stetson Bennet IV’s measly little shoulders.

I had Covid in January. As of August, I still had antibodies and have no interest in the vaccines. There are side effects and dangers that unlike other medications and vaccines are NOT being clearly explained or even acknowledged to the public. I will have an antibody test again in February.

Missouri has a dashboard surprisingly honest with the data. The vaccines have only been available since spring. Since then 2.33% of those who were fully vaccinated have been tested positive for the virus. Since the pandemic began and hit MO about 20 months ago... only .97% have been reinfected after recovering. The fatality rate among the fully vaccinated is pretty high at .02%. Among reinfections, the fatality rate is .01%.

It is important to note that not all people who have Covid and recover attain natural immunity. One study showed reinfections among those who were confirmed to have antibody memory after Covid to be ZERO.

Omicron is different from the original strain and Delta. People aren't dying and few are even getting severely sick. You can come up with your own reasons for why some politicians, experts, media, and organizations are going Chikn' Lil over it... but as of the 18th of December only 14 people in the world had died "with" Omicron.

I hope you stay well.... and wish that our "leaders" would be levelheaded and honest with ALL the facts concerning Covid. This became political and has NEVER been about the "science" since.

Maybe those going all chicken little have something to gain? It's always wise when questioning decisions that seem illogical to look at who benefits and how. More vaccines. More testing. More division. More dependence. More control. Seems unlikely that a variant that is likely no worse than the common cold is worth all this hysteria.

Oh....a new policy. Just in the nick of time. Why am I not surprised. Guess we can put a wrap on the football season. The team that wins a title that way will no doubt be beaming with pride over such an accomplishment. Just play the games like we always do in flu season. This is just stupid...evil but stupid. They can take their rules and shove 'em.
Imagine Cincy winning a natty due to forfeits. It’s not really a football championship, it’s a COVID championship
