I was on my way home tonight and just caught a few minutes of what he was saying. But it kind of mad me mad. He was saying that he felt the Pac-10 and the SEC conferences were equal. He said that if Auburn, LSU, UT, UGA, or FLA played USC, CAL, or Oregon on the west coast every SEC would go home with a loss. I guess for UT/CAL we will be able to find out next year. But to say that the PAC-10 and SEC are equal I dont Understand. For one look at the Example he gave us...For the SEC he named 5 schools. For the PAC-10 he named 3. How is that equal? Anyways what is your thoughts about this?

JT's a West Coast shill. His nickname comes from the object with which he most closely shares an IQ.

I agree . . . that guy is a complete goof. He parlayed being a frequent caller on the Jim Rome Show into a radio gig.

i don't put any credit into anything that comes out of the mouth of a Raiders' fan. he's the part of the reason why i now have SIRIUS and ESPN radio over listening to Fox Sports.

I knew my man Al had finally crossed over into the land of senility when he allowed JT to become the studio host for Raider Radio.

Yea, Well I think he is pretty much out of his mind. There is no way you can closely compare those to conferences.

Guy sounds like a moron. SEC is the best conference in the land right now, and anybody that says otherwise is a buffoon.

why else do you think that the BCS done away with strength of schedule? it makes it easy for the teams that dont play anybody really ie. pac-10,big east, big 10 teams to make it to the NC game or at least a bcs spot. they know that with out a doubt that a sec team could not go undefeated having to play each other how many top 25 teams were in the sec at the start of the season i count 5 ut,uga,au,lsu,uf. if you take any of those teams and match them with the other confrences and the sec will win say 4 out of 5 games
whoever says that the sec is not the best confrence in the nation does not know much about football. just my .2cents

Man, I heard him too. This guy is an idiot. I'm going to say this and I am seriously not Bulls**ting you listen to this.

JT had the balls to say that USC and TEXAS could beat a team of combined superstars from the SEC. I'm serious this idiot actually made this quote on the radio. His reasoning is that the SEC has all the talent from the South and USC and TEXAS have all american talent. He's really an idiot. I like Jeorge Sedano that comes on after him, but JT is an absolute idiot.

JT is somewhat balanced by Jorge Sedano, who comes on after him. Jorge goes out of his way to praise the SEC.

did you also hear that Tim Brando ranks Cal ahead of UT and considers UT's victory over Cal a "fluke"?

Was this on Sports Talk this afternoon? I heard the end of the conversation. Can anyone recap what the discussion was about?

You're right . . . I've seen that clip 100 times, and it's funny every time.
Yeah, I find it hilarious. Rome is now one of the most powerful people in sports media and Everett is remembered as a lousy QB. I'll call Rome the easy winner in that exchange.
