I am a F1 fan so it was initally a huge surprize to see JPM leave F1 for NASCAR, but a lot of talk since has been he never fulfilled his potential after a promising start and his attitude stunk. How do you guys think he will do in NASCAR?

I don't know a whole lot about Juan Pablo's driving ability, but unless Chip Ganassi improves his organization before next year he's going to struggle. Ganassi's cars are currently 19th, 23rd, and 32nd in owner's points.

right, but the 42 was the only car anybody expected anything out of. the 41 seems to grasp what he's doing on the racetrack these days as has turned in a few solid finishes. i have no reason to think he'll get better next year. the 40 has been cursed since Sterling got hurt leading the points, with the exception of McMurray's one and only (for a long time) win. JPM will be able to drive these cars, and i think even could even win one of the two road course races next year.

JPM has succeeded in every type of vehicle he's driven... nor eason to believe he won't succeed in NASCAR as well.

I agree with that, and will only add that IF Ganassi gives him a car that is capable of running up front, JPM will be successful. If not, he will be the best of the Ganassi cars, but that's not saying much.

Ganassi has been very successful as an owner in open wheel, but that success has not transferred over to stock cars, other that the one season that Sterling led the points most of the year before getting hurt.

^ I agree 100%! Outside of Sterling's near championship miss Ganassi's car have been a annual 20th place cars or worse. I think Casey Mears is the most talented driver he's had at Ganassi and he's flirted with the top ten in points for awhile but is never really a threat to win races. If you give JPM a decent car I think he can run top 15 for most of his "rookie" season. If the equipment doesn't improve by next year look for him to be around 20-25 most races.
