Looking forward, Tennessee hopes to quickly make some moves with the 2019 class. The Vols will host at least eight junior blue-chippers this weekend, with Lance Wilhoite, Shamar Nash, Trey Knox, Joseph Anderson, Sam Howell, Adonis Otey, Justin Eboigbe and Sheridan Jones all set to visit.

Although Tennessee’s in-state board is just taking shape, the Vols have prioritized offensive and defensive lineman like Bill Norton, Tymon Mitchell and Jackson Lampley.

Mitchell is also scheduled to visit Tennessee this weekend.

Pruitt will spend Friday morning with 5-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright in Huntington, West Virginia. Lincoln Riley, Kirby Smart, James Franklin, Mark Richt and Urban Meyer have all been by in the last week, and you can add Pruitt to the list that think the massive offensive tackle is important.

While California, Louisiana and Georgia have emerged as key out-of-state recruiting hotbeds for the Vols, expect Tennessee to try and get back into North Carolina under the new staff. The Tar Heel State is loaded with defensive lineman in 2019 — with Tennessee visiting and offering guys like DE Savion Jackson, DT C.J. Clark and DT Joshua Harris the last two weeks. The Vols are also in on quarterback Sam Howell, who will make his first trip to Rocky Top this weekend and the recently hosted 5-star running back Quavaris Crouch.

New offers (or re-offers) in the last week include…

2019 Tennessee WR Lance Wilhoite
2019 Louisiana DB Ishmael Burdine
2019 Georgia DE Justin Eboigbe
2019 Texas DE Braedon Mowry
2019 Texas DT Josh Ellison
2019 North Carolina DT C.J. Clark
2019 Georgia TE Jackson Lowe
2019 Arkansas OL Stacy Wilkins
2019 South Carolina WR Jacoby Pinckney
2019 Lousiana RB Tyrion Davis (LSU commit)
2019 Mississippi DE Jaren Handy

2020 North Carolia WR Porter Rooks
2020 North Carolina WR Michael Wyman
2020 Alabama DT/OT Jayson Jones
2020 Georgia RB Jo’Quavious Marks
2020 Louisiana LB Kelin Burrie
2020 Louisiana WR Koy Moore
2020 Florida WR Bryan Robinson
2020 North Carolina DE Jacolbe Cowan
2021 Tennessee OT William Griffin

I would think OL and RB are the biggest needs of 2019 but it looks like the staff wants more DL. Lordy we got a lot of holes to fill.

Hokay, d3p. I'll make this simple. 3 RBs are on the board, along with 2 pure OLs and 4 who may fill OL or DL spots, followed by:

6 WRs
1 DB
4 DEs
3 DTs
1 LB
1 TE
1 QB

Let's figure these are the creme-de-la-creme overall, with probably a couple dozen, at least, also on CJP's short list. I'm guessing these fellas OP listed (nice job, OP) are pretty much all 4* and 5* studs.

If UT's predicted new positive direction being displayed in '18 comes out to be the real deal, let's expect this outstanding staff to bring in a top 5 class for '19 and '20. Don't wanna' pull a D4H jinx, but this may well be a new era for Tennessee football. GBO!
