Jupiter Viewing

Jupiter is highly visible right now. Look ESE relatively low on the horizon. Can't miss it. With some binocs on a tripod you can see 2 or 3 of it's moons.

Should be out until after midnight.

It's a celestial body locator app. You load the app, hold the phone up to the sky and move around, it will tell you what you are looking at.

Saw 3 moons for sure. Seemed to be a fourth but it was out of the same orbital plane as the other 3 so it may have been a star. I'm assuming it was a moon since it was always in the same position relative to Jupiter and the others as the whole bunch moved across the sky. Got 3 for sure.

Could have used a filter though, it was so bright it bled over in the binocs
