“We’re excited about Philip joining our basketball family,” Ford said. “He brings with him a great physical presence that we were needing. He’s one of the premier shot blockers in the country, but he also has the ability to score around the basket. He will most certainly help us on both ends of the court.”

Will be interesting to see if he can block Perry Jones III, Quincy Acy, Quincy Miller and BoBo Morgan.

Hey BU, how did you do with all that talent you had this past year?
My kingdom for a point gaurd. Three coming in next year to push A.J Walton and Stargell Love. Gary Franklin (Cal), Brady Heslip (Boston College) and Juco POY Pierre Jackson.
A native of Las Vegas, Nev., Jackson was earned Region 18 and NJCAA Division I All-American first-team honors after leading College of Southern Idaho to its third national title in March. He averaged 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 36 games, making 34 starts at point guard. He shot 47 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range and 87 percent at the free throw line. His free throw percentage ranked him eighth nationally among NJCAA Division I players
Jackson was named Most Valuable Player of both the 2011 NJCAA Region 18 and National Tournaments, scoring 22 points in the championship game. He averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in four NJCAA National Tournament contests, while also setting a tournament record with 44 free throws made.
At 5' 9" Jackson won the City of Las Vegas HS Dunk Contest. YouTube - Pete Dunk Contest MM.wmv . Would like to see him starting by Big XII-II play.
