Nick Saban went 5-7 his first year at Bama. I'm not saying we have the next Saban on the sidelines, I'm saying you can NOT judge a coach or his staff based on his first year. Those of you saying we were outcoached sound pretty damn stupid. Let Coach build us up and get his players in here and then judge. As much as you hate to hear it it IS a process and it IS going to take time. We can't compete with top 10 teams and you are kidding yourself if you thought we could. Get a grip on reality and understand where this team is at before giving up on our staff. Personally I can't wait to bump all of these threads in a couple of years and make you all look flat out stupid.

I agree, however, it wasn't just lack of talent on the field. Our DC could not find a way to stop their QB. Why? they weren't going to throw the ball.There should of been someone on him every play, like a Siamese twin. On offense, why cant we come up with some better plays? our offense looks like the stuff I see at Jr High games. Sure we need talent and maybe some is coming, but we need somebody that knows how to couch.

If you can't judge a coach or staff in the first year, they should work for free to prove their merit.:crazy:

It is easy to see what kind of coach you have in the 1st year, by the type of plays and schemes he uses. Our are sub, SEC level.

The Saban comparison is getting old....Saban was already an established coach with a NC under his belt when he went to Bama

Not that I don't like Jones, but yes, this point seems to always be overlooked.

Plus this comparison was used with Dooley so I'm really sick of it.

Why would they look at facts? It's so much easier just to keep making blanket statements about how Saban's first team was bad, as if that means a whole lot.
