... which just begs for a joke- though if we go with it in the wrong direction, this thread will get moved, so don't.
At one point today, UM's Press Box game-announcer, a guy with an annoyingly AM DJ voice, announced a big run by UT's 'Corker'
For those of you out-of-state Vols, the big Senate race (cough) in TN this year is between Ford and Corker
The slip was so noticeable that when I pointed it out to my infamous step-mom & she said it must have been a Freudian slip, the guys behind said, "No, Jungian- Freud was a Republican"- they were R's with "Vols for Corker" stickers on their shirts- at which point we all laughed.
So... is it that the Vols transcend politics bringing joy to all and bringing otherwise disparate fans together, or is it that serious Vols could give a damn about goof-balls like senators & other amateur politicians when we've got serious stuff like Fulmer, parking lot policies, and why the hell Jim Bob Cooter hasn't gotten a snap yet to consider?
