Made a new header for the recruiting forum to distinguish it from the rest. What do you guys think? I thought I'd get an idea of what you guys think before going to freak with it.

Definately needs to be set apart,,, I am over on this forum a lot. And recruiting is 360 days a year these days.

I don't know the capabilities here, but what about a crawler like on ESPN, recruit commit updates

I agree that it needs it's own identity. It's becoming it's own monster so to speak.

I completely agree with separating it. Maybe make it a distinct site.

So does everyone like this? Anything you'd like to see different? Or keep the forum the way it is? I wanted to make sure it's not too different from the rest of the site, but distinct enough to know you're in the recruiting forum.

It looks good, Sab...but I'm a bit confused why the Recruiting Forum would need this any more than any other forum....it say's you're in the recruiting forum at the top already, just like all the other forums. Is there a reason why this forum should be different?

Agreed. The new design looks good, but I don't see why it is needed.

Perhaps what the recruiting forum needs instead of a custom banner, is it's own theme song that loops whenever you are in the recruiting forum.

Get to work on that theme song.

It's not necessary per se. It would just be nice to have a different header to set the recruiting forum apart from the rest of the board. I could make headers for all the forums technically, but it seems this year there is the recruiting forum and then there is the rest of the board -- so many people are following recruiting this year and we really want to set this place apart and attract new users due to our excellent coverage.

So...it's part of selling the Recruiting Forum as what sets VolNation apart right now...making it the flagship forum, if you will?

I wouldn't go that far. Just something to set it apart. The Vols Football forum will always be the flagship forum IMO.
