Huge Junior fan here, however, Jeff Gordon (our future teammate) proved today why some consider him the best driver ever....

Running 36-40 all day and when it mattered in the Top 10 and eventually first...it was pretty much impressive to watch...

What do you guys think?

it takes help from teammates to get to the front more than it does skill.

i love watching Junior Nation flock is droves from the track whenever he goes out of the race. puts a smile on my face.

Agreed, however Gordon jumped out in front of Stewart and made the 20 help him...wasn't his teammate in the end...he was racing Jimmy...

eh, that freight train of 3 Hendrick cars coming to the front from the back is what won the race.

A restrictor plate win is not the best way to judge a driver's skill. It's more of who's pushing and helping you instead of how good you can drive. It was a very good job of negotiating the traffic and working his way up through the pack, but he had a lot of help for a change.

Same ol crap! Gordon never gets the respect he deserves

Thats fine he'll continue to make the majority of the field look avg. Say what you wont but that aint the first time he's made Stewart look bad on a plate track, and i like stewart but the facts are the facts

I'm a Jeff Gordon fan, always have been, but I'm not going to judge him by how he does on restrictor plate tracks. It's all about teammates and having someone to help you. Yes, he drove great to work his way up through the pack, mostly through the middle, and get to the lead. But he had a lot of help to get there and that one move in front of Stewart won him the race. I think he'll be more judged by his wins at Darlington and Bristol and tougher tracks through his career.

I hate Gordon but the dude knows how to win on plate tracks. So do Jr and Stewart but Hendrick has that extra muscle under the hood that Stewart and the Penske cars could not match yesterday.

I disagree, in fact, I met Jeff Gordon on Thursday when he was in Nashville and that was asked to him. The question was asked what track was toughest for drivers. He did say Watkins Glenn was the toughest from a physical standpoint but he said that drivers are exhausted after Talledega. He said it is mentally tough because there is no room for error and that driver's eyes are sore after the race because they are zoned in the whole race. He said that Pocono was the most boring race for drivers since Nascar took the shifting out of it.
