I do think our strengths setup nicely against their weaknesses. It's gonna depend if they make their 3's or not, and if we have some consistency. It is on the road.

also depends if golden will play smart, if he comes in and drives the middle and passes to the out side and we hit our shots we have this game. our d is alot better then i ever expected. :)twocents:)

if our bigs can get their bigs in foul trouble like we did against uconn that could be huge. id be shocked if jenkins goes off, i fully expect richardson to make life hell for him tomorrow night. hopefully taylor isnt due for his random game where he blows up for 25.

Basketball is not a one man game. Stokes is awesome, but we will need many vols to play well tomorrow to beat vandy at vandy. Especially given our history at that gym.

I don't think Taylor's game will match up well either. I find it hard to see him getting to the rim too terribly often with Stokes, Maymon, and Hall roaming the lane. Jenkins can be taken out of his game with a pesky defender like Richardson in his pocket all night and outside of Festus, they don't have a huge post presence. Matchup wise, I think we have the advantage. It remains to be seen if we can take our game on the road for 40 minutes though. I think we lose by 8-10 in all honesty. Points are going to be at a premium for both teams tomorrow. Vandy is no slouch on defense even though they haven't been on point defensively their last few games.

Let's not get to confident about tomorrow's game. My expectations are that we keep it close. We will have to play a flawless game with few turnovers to have a chance. My hopes aren't too high, but with this team (now that Stokes is playing) anything can happen.

The only thing sweeter than beating Vandy at Memorial is beating Kentucky at Rupp. It's especially awesome the years Vol fans take over Memorial, like 2006. It was quite an experience being in the middle of Vol fans and us chanting "DEFENSE" so loud and cheering so loud it messed up Vandy.

UT probably loses this one. We're going into the game coming off a big win and they're coming off a loss. They're senior laden and we're a pretty young team. Don't be surprised if it's not close. I like our chances with Stokes, but Candy will be out for blood after letting one slip away Sat night.

They actually seem to be playing better on the road than they have at home this year though. It'll be interesting to see how this game transpires. If we play D and play good defense on Taylor and Jenkins then I like our chances at keeping it close and pulling out a close win. If we don't guard the perimeter, then it's going to be a long night. They are a very experienced team. On paper this should be about a 10 point Candy win.

I sound like a politican don't I? Heh.

I don't think we win, but with Stokes, I like our chances a lot better than I did before we had him. I just don't think our young team can go in there and get a win against a very experienced team especially with us coming off a big win and them coming off a loss. I'd love to see it though.
