I don't know, but going 3-0 last week, and some of the other losses, i got to think, we might be close to cracking top 10? I'll say 13th.

Don't think anyone's going to show us that much love. Up three, maybe four. 15 or 16 would be my guess.
Some still seem to think we're doing it with mirrors.

i can understand that....watching that game Saturday, and mind you it was the 1st game i've been able to watch all season, i can see why some would think that....our half court offense at times was pathetic. we didn't "look" like we were out rebounding them, although we did? DB was huge there on the boards. But it just felt like evertime there was an opportunity for 2nd chance points, USC got 'em. Plus we missed ft's in the first half that could've put us double digits....and apparetnly we turned the ball over a lot more in that game than we have most of the season.

i wouldn't call that game picture perfect. I would call it more of finding a way to win, which isn't a bad thing...that's usually a sign of good things...

Old article here,

but the point about a good post game leaving us exposed still carries weight.
Kudos to Andre though, for bringing his game along as the season has progressed.
good read, and probably a lot of truth to that....

but just goes to show, still a lot of people saying, no you can't. Which i'm sure won't ease up and will feed the motivational monster of BP.

They are right about the SEC this year, not great at all. When we're the biggest story, or one of them anyway, you know it's not a banner year in the SEC. I think there could be a very good comparison with us in the SEC to a team like NC State in the ACC. If you're going to make a run, this would be a good year to do it. for us, we already beat UF, UK is down as are Bama, MSU, Ark etc...same with NCSU, Duke obviously very good, and NCSU played well in a close loss, UNC is down so is Wake and UVA etc....both theams eyeing this year as "our" year. Of course, we didn't drop one to an average SH.....our losses, have all been quality. People are talking up LSU pretty well now too, and we know about Memphis and OSU, both, if not mistaken about OSU tourney bound.

Question then becomes, what if we make it to the tourney and get bounced in rd 1? do the warm fuzzies go away, or does vol nation just salute it as year one, good job, can't wait 'til next year? :dunno:

USC only had like 4 second chance points, if I read that right...

The first half our half court was terrible, and there's a reason for that. Our half court is USUALLY bad. We force turnovers and play well in transition! That's our game, and we do it very well. If we are getting those transition points, it makes the half court work for us in between, wearing the other team down. USC took us out of our game early, say the first 10 mins. After that, especially in the second half the Vols were playing their game.

I mean, the three biggest baskets of the first half were breakaway dunks by Watson and Asumnu. CJ's was early, but Stan's pretty much got the ball rolling.

I thought around 15, but after 2345 pointed out to me all (9) teams above us that lost... we should hit around 11 or 12.
