Crazy thing about Duke and Carolina being in the same arena in NC.... Can't get tickets at a decent price.

Was just outbid on 2 lower level ends at $935. I know it's ridiculous... I had to pay $500 for 2 tickets for one session a few years back when TN played Louisville in Charlotte. I was on the very last row in the upper deck... and all you could see was Carolina Blue.

Question - If we get past Michigan, any chance the Carolina fans show up and root for us against Duke?

or

Do they satisfy their hatred by selling the Dookies their tickets for $1,000 a seat?

Carolina will be at the arena in droves hours before tipoff and won't leave. They are the KY ... of the ACC

I was considering trying to get off work Friday night so I could make the trip, but didn't think about prices with Duke/UNC there. I guess I'll watch on TV and save my money for football season.

I paid about the same for the Lousiville/UT tickets and we were on the very last row as well, but we did make it down to the lower deck once several unc people left. I'd say it was 90% tarheels, 6% ut, 4% louisville, 1% wsu (was it? wsu?)

100% they will cheer for UT. I went to the second round when UNC played someone in the first game and Duke played Miss. State. The Miss State cheerleaders came around handing out pom poms and all the UNC fans were asking for them as well.

They will probably be a lot cheaper when we get past Duke :)

See above first post...UNC people drive UP the cost out of the wazoo.

I bought face value from ticketmaster, in upper deck again, but much better price now than what I bought for Louisville/UT. I will only make it to the last session though. Someone has claimed the first session, so now I only need to sell the night session to a tar hole or dawg.

Glad you got tix. shouldnt be hard to sell the 2nd session. Plenty of NC fans wanting them. I picked up some lower levels to the first session for the Tn game. Probably won't be able to find tix for the 3rd round game if TN beats Michigan. I may go to the stadium and try to get 1 ticket but will probably just watch from home and be happy i got tix to the first game.

I live in Charlotte, and have been to many games at the cable box, there are very few bad seats in the house. Just don't sit in the seats above the first level behind the baskets.

UNC being in the second session makes it nice, otherwise I don't think I'd get much. I've received a few nibbles, but nothing set in stone yet. At this point the person and I are splitting the cost of the first game and the third game, and whatever we get for the second will just be a nice subtraction.

What are the cheapest tickets that everyone are finding?

$231 per ticket for all three sessions or I was finding about $130+ per ticket per session.

Tennessee got screwed in Charlotte that year. I think only the players families and the top 10 donors got lower level seats. That better not be the case again this year!!! :furious3:

I'm really hoping to go. $231 really isn't that bad.

God I hate UNC and UK basketball fans equally. They have a pack of wolves mentally. Love have UNC fans stay in the gym time and time again in Charlotte just to watch Duke whip the crap out of their opponents. UNC fans, as classless as they are , willl cheer for Michigan or Tennessee, but they will also be realistic and realize UT doesn't have a shot in hell at beating Duke. They will be leaving Charlotte early. I would definitely try to scalp tickets from Michigan fans or look on Craigslist after the the Friday games if Tennessee beats Michigan.

Also, if you run across UNC fans that paid face value for their tickets you may want to mention you are a Tennessee fan, say you hate Duke and you really want tickets to the game. That may work in your favor and they may sell them to you for face. Get your Duke hatred out there in Charlotte and it will probably be beneficial to you.

That will be hard to do since I'll be decked out in mostly Duke gear to go along with the orange and white.

Sickening. I don't care if it's Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, or Eastern St. Mary's Tech. Pick a team before you go there and cheer for them. Don't waste your money sitting on the fence all game.
