just got home from work. and i will never forget this day.

but seeing how the "staff" will share oc duties, does it change anything? will our offense pick up for the rest of the season?

and from what i hear on talk radio, Cutcliffe is our man.

anybody confirm this?

CC, CPF and the rest of the staff will share responsibility. I think the only way to "save" this season is to hope this wakes the offensive players up and they actually prepare.

Well CBC, you can take this for what its worth....This year, I say if we can beat ND it will salvage somewhat of a lost season and won't help us much in nothing but the AP polls and things such as that.....Now, as far as Sanders and his system goes....Well as we all know, we're running Fulmer's system and has worked well in the past.....I would look for more of the same thing the rest of the year.....However, next year would the year that I'm looking for this to pay off...We'll get a new offensive coordinator with a new system and the players to hopefully run it.....Like I said, we won't see much of a change this year but next year will be when this pays off IMO

Beat Notre Dame? Yougoddabekidding. What do you expect will change between now and Saturday? Fulmer running Fulmer's offense?

cant beat notre dame?

we beat lsu at home.

other than usc, lost to all top 5 teams at the time. should have beat florida.

dominated bama and choked it away. one play changed the georgia game. that being the overthrow by clausen then the next play threw a pick.

we could be undefeated right now. if we had a smidgen of offense we would be unbeaten. like it or not. so yes i think we have a great chance to beat notre dame.

wait and see.

We've BEEN running CPF's offensive scheme. The RS thing may not be the real answer to our woes. The magic pill? I doubt it. I think there's something amiss in the team/players.

CPF was/is on the hot-seat--dashing a coach--has happened before. This is not the magic pill everyone thinks it is.

man im as frustrated with this season as anyone else but common this is a guys life.... his home... and his job! Im by no means ever been a randy sanders fan but i do feel bad for the guy. all of these coaches jobs lie in the hands of half teenagers and some early 20's. give the guy a break he didnt make foster fumble in the endzone... or make hefney muff the punt at florida... or cause the most drops by recievers in UT history. I never liked sanders that much but the playcalling especially the last few games hasnt been terrible!

In my heart I believe the players will take this as a positive. Some may see it as a get your butt outta granny gear situation. Either way I look for the Vols to upset the Irish...34-31 Vols!

The players on the offensive side of the ball don't like each other and can barely get into the locker room together without fighting.

That said, the emotions of a man who has been teaching you how to play football for your college career LOSING his JOB, may shock these guys enough to put differences aside and play as a unit. If not, RS being gone as OC won't change a thing.
