Just how good is Georgia

Well Clemson is getting in. SEC champion is getting in. BIG 10 Champ will get in as long as they have 1 loss. I'd assume a 1 loss Oklahoma may get the last spot. Not sure about Oklahoma after yesterday. Any of these conference champs have 2 losses and they'd chose a 1 loss Bama over them, LSU probably as well.

If a 1 loss SEC East team beats an undefeated team from the SEC West in the SEC title game, I think that SEC West team will still get in the playoff.

Possible. I think they should expand to 8.. 4 is nothing but the plus 1 Herbstreit was bucking for a few years ago..

Hypothetical here:

Say the winner between Fla and Ga beats the winner between Ala and Lsu. It can happen and Richt almost did it a decade ago.

Does a one loss SEC champion go to the playoff? What about the SECG game loser from the west? Then, does the one loss Ala or Lsu from regular season get in?

Didn't see this before I posted, but I think both would be in....yes.

Right now, I think Clemson, Ohio State (I assume they will run the table) and the SEC champ are in.

I think under this premise, the SEC champ loser would get in before 1 loss Oklahoma or a 1 loss Pac 12 champ.

Especially, if it were a situation where 1 loss Florida beat undefeated LSU in Atlanta. You'd have 2 teams, 12-1, that beat each other

In that scenario, don’t you know the Bammers would be screaming?!?!

I bet the SEC (through the refs) will make sure that doesn’t happen and ESPN will promote Bama!

There could possibly be 3 1 loss teams if the East champs beat say a unbeaten LSU. Bama setting there idle with only 1 loss. I'd bet they'd give the spot to Bama over LSU as long as LSU didn't beat Bama bad. They won't beat them bad if at all.

Now as to what I think will happen....

Clemson, Oklahoma, and the SEC champ are in. I believe the SEC champ is going to be an undefeated team from the SEC West.

Assuming, the Alabama-LSU loser is a 1 loss team, I think they get in over Oklahoma or the Pac 12 champ, especially if it's Alabama

I watched the Ga Notre Dame game and thought both teams were very good. Then USCe beats Ga and I, like probably others, was taken aback.

Still, flukes happen like us with ki
Memphis in ‘96. Then, to have Michigan thump ND today:

NCAAF College Football Scores - NCAAF Scoreboard - ESPNm

has me reevaluating both teams. Maybe neither is all that good.

A meh Michigan team just curb stomped Notre Dame last weekend. ND should have started the season about #25 but NBC's big network $s keeps them sniffing around the top ten when they have no business there.

1 loss SEC Champion gets in. If UF or Georgia wins out and upsets the West winner in the SECCG, I think the West winner gets the edge assuming that would be their only loss. Say LSU beat Alabama and wins out and loses the SECCG, and Alabama ends up with 1 loss. And it works out that the SEC can get 2 teams in. I don't see how you could punish LSU in that scenario and put in Alabama before them.

They’re good enough to beat UF next week and win the East.
UF WR and UF secondary are as good as UGA will face this year. Trask seems to be getting better each week, UF win wouldn’t be shocking. I expect UF to take shots over the top and UF secondary to press GA WRs to make them get off coverage. Grantham loves to blitz, does he come after Fromm or make UGA drive the field?

As for the bad S.C. game, yep it was. UGA O still had 500 yards. 4th qtr/OT
Fumble inside S.C. 30
Int inside S.C. 25
TD
Int inside S.C. 25
Missed FG

That, is how you lose (to anyone)

If UGA/UF win the SEC, the other team has to be the winner of LSU/Bama. You can’t punish the winner bc they won the West and most certainly the SEC champion is in.

Think Oklahoma is done, they are out and basically being blocked by the Big 10. PSU OSU even Minnesota undefeated would go first. One loss OSU/PSU if they win the B10 CG will go, two pac12 teams still in front. Four SEC teams currently in front, a lot would have to go right for Oklahoma to make it.
SEC champ
Clemson
B10 winner
SEC runner up/Bama/LSU loser/PAC 12

Meant Ohio State, not Oklahoma

No way a 1 loss Alabama is left out. I don't care if LSU beats them like Clemson did last year.

Florida matches up with Georgia better than SC did.

Hell, I can think of one spot where I like UGA’s players better, the o-line. I think Swift is a stud too. Fromm is supposed to be all-world but he’s looked average in large part because UGa is weak at WR and TE.

Trask is outplaying Fromm right now and Florida’s WR’s and Pitts at TE are excellent. I also think Florida doesn’t have to take a back seat to Swift with its own RB combination of Perine and Pierce.

On defense, Florida has the better DB’s, better MLB, and if Greenard and Zuniga are back, the best pass rush.

And Florida has the better head coach.
LOL.

Kirby sucks on gameday and they have no one on the outside that scares anyone. Their defense is pretty solid. Special teams is solid. They're a good team not elite i don't think.

He’s Dan Mullen’s daddy so if Kirby sucks I’d hate to know what that makes Mullen.
