Was 1998 when we also opened November playing an undefeated SEC opponent. That would be Arkansas. We had just been named #1 in the first BCS ranking and we all know how that game and season ended up. What a ride this has been and I feel tons more fun is ahead! Time to whip some Georgia Puppies!

The Tennessee Volunteers are having a terrific season.
The Tennessee Volunteers playing a great Georgia Bulldogs in Georgia is a highly anticipated game which I didn’t think I would be saying that before the 2022 Volunteers football season started.

The great Georgia Bulldogs defense will be the most challenging test for the high scoring Volunteers offense.

Billy Ratliff, the hero, wasn’t even supposed to be in the game. But there he was, making one of the biggest plays in Vols history. “All of the sudden I looked down and I see the ball on the ground. I promise you that ball seemed like it was there for 5 or 6 seconds.”

I was 5th row in the upper deck about the 50-yard line. That was the first game that my student ticket had me sitting up there. I seriously thought it was going to collapse it was bouncing up and down so much after that fumble.

Unfortunately, we lived in Seattle, WA that year so we did not really get to see much SEC football. Sure did watch the win against FSU.

It's astounding what this team has accomplished to this point. Let's focus on the next team and keep it going!
I have enjoyed this season so very much. Crap, I enjoyed last year too as we were so fun to watch and you could see the improvement. Somehow we’ve improved in about every area, including some of the glaring issues form last year, like the short yardage offense. No matter what happens from here on out it has been a helluva season but I truly think this team not only can but will beat UGA next week. I think it’ll be close most of the game but when the dust settles I think UT wins by 2 scores.

You remember what Alabama did to the Georgia defense in the SEC championship game last year, and that Georgia defense was better, by a lot. This Tennessee offense is better in exploiting match-ups than Bama was. Bama had better players at the skill positions than we do. But CJH and staff are superb at exploiting matchups.
