14-7 Baylor in the first quarter. But K State isn't looking bad right now.

Could be a trap game for Baylor.

Why? I love watching Baylor play. They are so fun to watch offensively.

Cause Briles is an arrogant whiner. He's *****ed for 2 years about being left out of playoffs/NC then goes out and loses his bowl games. He refuses to schedule anyone of relevance and wonders why he's left out. The committee has made it clear to him in their rankings over the last 2 years yet he doesn't seem to grasp it. Our FCS opponents over the years have been top 10-15 level teams, he plays FCS teams with losing records; it makes Vandy's schedules of the past look good.

When TX was interested in him two years ago and asked to interview him, it was circulated that he told them to look at his resume and make an offer. Not sure why he thinks the normal procedure of interviewing a a candidate didn't apply to him.

I don't disagree with any of that, but his system is awesome, and they are fun to watch.

Briles does have a bit of a reputation of a whiner and I do wish they'd schedule better OOC opponents because I think they can play with anyone.

I think a fast and physical defense, typical of LSU over the years would give them a tough time. I think Bama may be too big to slow them down for 4 QT. Its almost as though Briles thinks an undefeated season is his only ticket in. He'd be better served with a good loss to an OOC P5 team than running the tables with his OOC schedule then losing a BigXII game.

My favorite Art Briles moment from last year:

When making his argument for the playoffs, Briles said (paraphrase) "People talk about how we didn't play enough tough games this year. If I recall correctly we traveled all the way to Buffalo to play in front of a sell-out crowd and their first-ever blackout."

Buffalo man........ Buffalo.

Really, any tough, speedy defense, epecially with good corner play and a good pass rush would give them a game. But that team has to have a balanced offense that can score points too. They have to be able to run the ball to keep Baylor's offense off the field and shorten the game, but also be a threat to pass when necessary to keep them honest and play from behind if they were to get down early.

OU fits that mold and should give them a good game next week.

LSU and even Florida fit that mold to a degree as well, though if it came down to having to have Brandon Harris or Treon Harris win a game for me with their arms, I wouldn't feel great about it.
