Kansas looking to get 2 races.. who's out?

It wouldn't bother me to take a California event, they never should have taken the Southern 500 date.

A track that isn't on the list is New Hampshire. It's not an ISC-owned track, but there's no reason whatsoever the series should go there twice, especially to start the chase.

From that list, I'll take Fontana, simply because NASCAR likes to be the headliner for a weekend. When they're out there, the race is an afterthought in L.A.

Kansas is boring as well. No way they get 2 dates.

According to that article, the France family will decide that, and their minds seem made up. The quality of racing isn't the issue with them, it's what'll make them the most money. If it wasn't, Fontana wouldn't have two races, Darlington would still have the Labor Day weekend and Rockingham would still be on the schedule.

This is basically correct.

But New Hampshire has sold out every cup date theyve ever had, alot of places can't say that. If not Fotana i'd vote Pocono, its dull, the seating is terrible, and the onlyy excitement is when a deer goess on the track

Another track that is a borefest. I guess they need these tracks so they don't tear up som many race cars. The racing at kansas sucks though. I see a total realignment of nascar in the near future when these crapfest tracks stop selling enough tickets to make a profit.

I would vote to take a race away from California, Michigan, and Pocono. I would give those dates to Kansas if they must have a second date, to Iowa which is a unique track and would be a good show, and to Kentucky. It would give the schedule some more diversity.

But that's a topic for another conversation. If this is strictly just about Kansas taking a race away from a track already on the schedule I would vote California or Michigan since they are basically the same. I loathe Pocono having two races but its different enough to still merit having one race.

If you're in the mood for seeing Rockingham be sure to check out Speed this Sunday and tune into the Arca race at their. Andy Hillenburg has done a great job of hosting events since he purchased the facility.

Rockingham was one of my favorite tracks, and so is Darlington. Both separate the real driver from the mediocre one.

I just love seeing ppl smack the wall at darlington.

Back in the "day" if your car didn't have a Darlington "stripe", you were going too slow. It was how you took the 4th turn, to use the guard rail to help turn the car. Now it is turn two as they flipped the straights.

I don't think the racing now is all that great but whats funny about what Broyles just said is that about 1/3 of the field smack the wall every week now. That car is so forgiving you can slam into the wall 2-3 times a race with no consequences. If Sam Hornish don't hit the wall at least 3x every single event there is something odd.
