With all of the coaching changes I felt like one of these could have been Cpf's chance to have one last go of it. But it seems that UL has got its sites set on the young energetic Charlie Strong, and then Kansas opens and I thought heck that might be a good fit for the once "dean" of the SEC, and sources have now said it seems that Turner Gill will walk right in and there is in fact mutual interest. So my question to you guys is....If these mid level teams are going young hot shot style, will anyone from midlevel up give him a shot? I think with his firing he will probably do a decent job where ever he goes for about 4-6 years before retiring again....but will he get the shot?

Coach Jim Donnan(sp?), just said on 680 The Fan, that Strong will get the UL job and the current Richmond coach will get the UVA job.

So it looks like Phil might work for CBS for one more year. I really would like to see him coach again.

He is going to have to swallow his pride and stop aiming so high. Getting passed over at UL and UVA should give him a dose of reality.
