Should be a good game both teams were very overrated to start the year. With the right rotation of Springer and Johnson I like our chances

I’m ready to see more of the younger guys plus Fulk (if healthy). I think that Pons is more focused on auditioning as a perimeter player and Bailey is trying to get noticed. Play Pons if he’ll post up on offense but if he’s going to be the 4th man setting up behind the 3-PL I’d rather see more minutes go to Olivier. Pons should be grabbing far more rebounds. And only take a couple of 15’ or deeper shots.

I think that Keon, Springer, JJJ, and Vescovi aren’t afraid of the spotlight. They all have stepped up and made big plays late in close games. They are kind of fearless when under pressure.

To your point, when has JJJ ever missed a three, then shot another three right after missing his initial attempt after an offensive rebound? I think the answer is never, at least not at UT. He hit his 2nd attempt, and the fact he would take a second one is directly due to Barnes imploring to take open shots. He hit it, and seemed to have the confidence he would make the shot.

Barnes's record against Kansas is 6-17 or 6-18 in his career.

That being said, I think Tennessee can wear Kansas down with depth and with Springer and Johnson leading the way.

We have to get Fulkerson involved in the offense while Pons fills up the stat sheet and is a warrior defensively.

Tennessee 76
Kansas 62

Go Big Orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have to shoot better and Barnes needs to keep the best players in there as much as possible. No more weird substitution patterns.
It seems most the weird patterns happen when Springer is out and Pons/Fulk pick up two fouls. That’s when we see Ticket and Pember get minutes.

Not the same Kansas teams we’ve played in recent years. May be the worst one Self has had since he’s been there.

I know this KU team isn't what they usually trot out on the floor, but hell, I'll still take that proverbial notch in the belt and enjoy hell out of it. If we're gonna be forced to play small ball, let's use our athleticism and steal a page from the Richardson playbook and give 'em 40 min of hell. Press 'em all over the floor and play up and down. Run like hell.
