Do we have a shot.....Can we pull a 2006-ish upset with a undermanned team?

Kansas has all the tools of a NC winner...

Game will come down do how well Maze plays imo.

If were gonna win then Chism, Maze, Scotty would have to score 20 a piece for us to win JMO......

As long as they play hard and at least attempt to execute on offense (and not just stand around, play catch on the perimeter, and chuck up 25+ 3's like they seem to do every 3rd game), I'll be happy.

If Cornell had a shot playing at Kansas, then we should.

Cornell will be dancing come March, they are a pretty good team, that said Kansas should have beat them by 10 IMO, UT will not keep this close...I see something like an 85-71 score.

I think there is an outside chance. I'm most concerned about the guard match-ups. Collins and Henry pose a double headed threat that I'm not sure we can match up with. I assume Maze will be on Henry then either Hopson or Prince on Collins.
Also, Aldrich was a force last year. Chism and Hall must work together to try and slow him down and not let him get established down low.
An inspired team played hard and, for the most part, pretty well against Charlotte. It's going to take another similar effort and some breaks to beat Kansas.

Don't forget the much improved Morris on the inside to contend with as well for KU.

Our team has its work cut out for sure.

Email I got from a Kansas fan i know when I mentioned UT having a chance.

The Cornell game was the worst thing that could happen for UT. KU is motivated after only their 2nd win by single digits (first was in first game of the season). At least the Vols will have an excuse. Maybe if the UT bookstore didn’t sell pistols you guys wouldn’t be having so many issues.

Did Tyler just shoot down all of the black uni debate for this game?

Yes, we have a chance. I think the team will rally after all that has been going on around the program recently. Also, add the fact that Cornell nearly upset Kansas just a few days ago, giving Tennessee more hope and confidence towards the #1 team in the country.

This is an arduous feat, but if completed this could ascend the Tennessee basketball team into elite status and possible outside title contenders.

I hate when people say that we don't have a shot at winning this game. I mean what's the point of playing at all if you've already decided the outcome? The Vols will be fine if they can play with the same intensity as they did against Charlotte, and if the crowd is behind them like they were at the Charlotte game. The only spot I see a big problem is at the point guard. When Bobby comes out of the game the team seems to lose a lot of its intensity. All that being said, I think this will be a big win for the Vols.

lol. u guys have no chance. collins and henry are gonna eat u up from the perimeter and aldrich and morris are gonna out muscle down low. kansas wins by 10+ and would not be surprised to see it get ugly down the stretch. go jayhawks

Once again, you manage to outdo yourself.

Key: Wayne absolutely, positively cannot pick up 2 fouls in the first 5-10 minutes of the game. Kansas will get their points. We have a puncher's chance, though, if Hopson and (I can't believe I'm typing this) Woolridge get hot from the arc, and if Chism brings the kind of intensity he brought in the first half of the Charlotte game.

A lot has to go right for us, but I fully believe we can win this ball game. At home, sold out, these guys are going to be pumped up to play.

Haha i am also in shock of his development as of late. He can actually shoot. who knew?

Not likely. I agree with some other posters and say that UT keeps it decent in the first half, beginning of the 2nd half and then about mid way through, Kansas pretty much takes over.
