Text messages suggest Kavanaugh wanted to refute accuser's claim before it became public
texts between Berchem and Karen Yarasavage, both friends of Kavanaugh, suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public. In one message, Yarasavage said Kavanaugh asked her to go on the record in his defense. Two other messages show communication between Kavanaugh's team and former classmates in advance of the story.
And you all wonder why confidentiality for Ford was imperative and the R's on the committee couldn't be trusted.

After a careful review of all of the evidence put fourth by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in her accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell has released a report which completely exonerates the judge.Sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, a non-partisan third-party with more than 25 years’ experience prosecuting sex crimes in the state of Arizona, carefully reviewed the allegations made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, including hours of testimony, and has released a report on the matter. In the report, Mitchell points out more than a dozen glaring inconsistencies in Dr. Ford’s account and paints the accusations as potentially fraudulent.Mitchell’s points out several points, including:
In perhaps her most damning finding, Rachel Mitchell writes that “The activities of congressional Democrats and Dr. Ford’s attorney’s likely affected her account”. Mitchell ostensibly alleges that the maneuvering of congressional Democrats, and the actions of her attorneys, who acted more like handlers, influenced her account of events, and perhaps even her truthfulness. This may have come out as Mitchell’s lines of questioning were repeatedly interrupted by her attorneys, namely Michael Bromwich, who also represents Andrew McCabe.

Just hearing word that a witness has stepped forward who claims to have worked at a New Haven blockbuster. He said that Brett Kavanugh was not kind and would not rewind. We can’t allow this animal on the Supreme Court
Oh, and @lawgator1
Back to our conversation from earlier. There is one person on the court who's credentials are somewhat questionable. Elena Kagan was close since she had plenty of academic knowledge, but no experience on the practical side.
Certainly not the case with Kavanaugh.
Solicitor general for a year, that's a lot of responsibility. Dean of Harvard Law for quite some time. Chicago Law Scho professor. Some clerkships including at Supreme Court. Some White House policy work.
Ideally one would serve on one of the circuit courts for a period of time but I don't think you can say she is unqualified.

Minnesota has elected 2 Republicans to the Senate in the past 60 years. Throwing out Franken was like throwing a fat guy out of McDonalds. You are straining like hell to deflect. How was Franken "expendable"? We don't know that a Republican won't win his seat. Of course, Franken had to admit to his bad behavior but he apologized and Tweeden accepted it. That could have been the end of it... it wasn't.
To be fair, a lot on this board have pulled the "he who is without sin cast the first stone" rhetoric about Kavanaugh liking the sauce or possibly assaulting someone. Some have said even if he did hold a woman down against her will that he shouldn't be disqualified from SCOTUS; forgiveness, youth, impairment, etc.Dude has a DWI that almost resulted in a death and a burglary on his rap sheet.... and you hold him out as a person of virtue for apologizing for offending somebody.
I'll defend LG and say he's been quite objective on this process.
It's been a little scary. I suspect he's been hacked.
Look dude... We know you're holding LG hostage. We'll send you a case of PBR and some crayons if you'll just let him go.Elections have consequences. Disagreeing with his politics is a reason to vote against him but he's qualified and so you can't take issue with the other side supporting him. Of course they do.
