and talent and fire and a genuine flair. Loved her competitiveness. This group of softies could take lessons from her, that is for sure.

Very much worth the listen. She talked some about 1995, 1996, the SEC of the time, Mique, Pat, OOC games with Con & Stanford, coaching at USC, her skirmish in the WNBA, starting her business, her approach to business, and her charity work. Oh! And this year's Lady Vols team.

Did she talk about her wife? lol

Her Sheex products get a pretty good rating from customers at Amazon.

The semifinal game against UConn in her senior season is the best women's basketball game I ever saw. and the regional final against UVA on its homecourt is the best comeback in a women's game I ever saw. They were behind something like 32-15 or 34-15 well into the second half. Pat actually had to pull Marciniak out for a minute and calm her down because she was so mad about how the team was playing. She went back in and was the best player in the country for the last 90 minutes of the season.

Another thing I remember is that there was a big controversy because UT got the No. 1 seed as SECT champ and Georgia got a 2 as regular-season champ even though they beat us. I remember thinking it wasn't much of a favor since they stuck us in a regional where we had to win at UVA just to make the Final Four. When the LV's did win, Pat told them if they could win in Charlottesville, they could win in Charlotte (the Final Four).

Georgia got hosed by the committee that year, they were a #3 seed and had to play the #1 team, Louisiana Tech, in the regional final. They came to play and won pretty handily, but they, and Tennessee for that matter, received a tough draw that year.

They were actually the 2 seed in that region, but it did suck for them. I never got the rationale behind any of the seeding for that tournament. I honestly expected UT and UGA to be seeded 1-2 in the same regional that year. We'd handed LT its only loss, but lost to UGA, UConn and Stanford, the other three candidates for a top seed. I thought they'd treat us and Georgia as the 4-5 teams and send us to the same region. Instead, they gave us both awful assignments--made them beat the nation's top-ranked team (playing a couple of hours from home) just to make the Final Four, and made us beat what was probably the sixth-best team in a road game to get there.
