Reading that article, I’d take him in a heartbeat, assuming he’s a kid our coaches really want and would be a good fit. We can’t get much worse at corner.

I agree. Very productive 4 year guy who can bridge a gap between recruiting classes at a position of need. Allow the three freshman a year in the system and this move actually helps you down the road. May avoid getting roasted at corner and make it a desirable move for recruits

I am not sure what Heupel and co are waiting for to get some transfers at DB. I cannot figure out what is happening, did they just miss on all of the high school players they wanted or do they think none of the players in the portal are good enough? it is very strange we have not taken at least 1 DB from the portal.

Answer this question is the transfer portal done for the year? If the answer to that question is no then take a lap and eat crow when the time comes and we add more defensive guys in the spring…

Waiting for more scholarships to come available after Spring. We could use the South Carolina method and take extra transfers early and have 95 scholarships but then we’d have to process players after the fact. I think this method is more ethical.

Numbers and restrictions on the limit of players due to the Pruitt issue until spring semester.

The guys that already hit the portal by in large knew they were not slated for playing time or bad fits with staff and got out early. Those higher on the food chain are going to go through spring and if they don't like their situation splitting time or being second behind some all conference or better guys MAY decide to test the waters at that time. Timing may be better for us as well with our APPEARANT self-imposed schollie reductions for the spring period. May have to go OOC, but guys looking for better shots or those wanting to move up in class after successful springs should be out there. On top of that our additional departures may make enough room to not have to assist some guys in making some decisions as well as maybe getting some guys legitimately on medicals to clear some space without having to play the heavy and pay the price in the public opinion arena.

Would love to have some here for spring ball, but holding for a POTENTIAL shot at better talent is a valid plan. Don't know how much ground some positions can make up with just fall practice.

Does anyone know if the 2 corners from Juco chose us over Auburn have said anything?Just curious if the turnover or soon to be might sway them back to the good guys??Sucks those two would have made a big big difference how we view the D.Add in Verse and that's 3 that just didn't go out way,but not from lack of trying.

We’re being very strict due to the self imposed scholarship reductions that expire after Spring. Otherwise it wouldn’t satisfy the NCAA
