So, I was thinking that NC State has looked pretty good this year so far. How much of that do we think is because of the program Kellie created versus because she was fired?

I guess if the program does well for a couple of years and then fizzles, maybe it was because of Kellie. However, if it gets better and thrives indefinitely, maybe it was because they got a new coach.

I just thought it was interesting they started having this kind of season right after she left.

She never recruited that well. They don't have any four or five star players on that team. They haven't even recruited a top 100 player in the last four years according to Hoopgurlz. So talent wise she never got it done there went 70 and 64 in her four seasons there.
Wes Moore was successful at Tennessee Chattanooga before taking this position. He has a 558-169 record going into this season. The job he has done this season has been tremendous. He is a tremendous coach if he had the players we have we may be going for the National Title. I like Holly but I think NC State has the better coach right now.
He won 12 regular season titles and 9 tournament titles while in the Southern Conference.

Wes is a outstanding coach his record speaks to that.

Much better coach than Holly will probably ever be.

Now I will say without a doubt Kellie looks a lot better::rock::pepper:

Can't stand the Woofies but Coach Moore has done much more with this team than Kellie did with essentially the same talent.

This is the kind of coach the Vols need--a proven winner. Many Vol fans are only now realizing it, but our team has not been well-coached for a long time. I'd rate UT coaching as a 5/6 on a 1-10 scale over the last 10 plus years. We should have a 9-level staff!

Wes Moore is a very good coach. Chattanooga was fortunate to have him as long as they did.

He coached two girls I went to high school with the had nothing but great things to say about him. One if the girls was being recruited hard by Florida but decided to go to chatt because if him.

One coach can make such a huge difference for a team NC State are lucky to have gotten him. i don't know how long he's signed with NC State but do you think he would leave them to come here if he was approached about the head coaching job?

What is the objective 'take' on Kellie by those knowledgeable...what are her strengths and weaknesses...will she, and if so how soon will she get a shot at a big program?

I would think he would crawl over glass to come here. If you are a women's basketball coach there is no other program with our resources. Every coach wants to win it all and that is not going to happen at NC State.

He got a 5 year contract and if he gets an NCAA bid, two more years will be added. So at age 57, it looks like he will slide nicely into retirement in 7 years.

Dang didn't know it was for that long, doesn't look like we have a chance of getting him then.
