It’s honestly very similar to David Shaw. Took over a good squad, elevated it enough to become the school’s all time winningest head coach, then watched it slip into mediocrity. He like Shaw, passed on better opportunities that now, neither of them will ever be up for again. What happened to them the last 3 seasons? 4 out of the last 5 have been awful.
I thought I read a statement from coach saying he had decided to step down?
Guess not.
There’s a petition to fire Navy’s athletic director and reinstate Ken Niumatalolo after the coach’s dismissal
He was on a blazing hot hot seat before the Army game. Firing him directly after the game is nuts, but it wasn’t just from that one game. It was the final nail in the coffinNOOO!!!
He was seriously pissed about being fired.
Next year, they have a way easier schedule. Plus, like 20 starters returning.
The AD really was coo coo. He just totally lost his mind after losing to Army.
