Ken Sparks can join elite company with 300th win » Knoxville News Sentinel
Coach Sparks joins an elite group of only 10 coaches that have reached the 300 win mark. He hit it on the first game of his 33rd season as head coach of Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.
In 32 complete seasons Coach Sparks has won 21 SAC championships with five NAIA national titles, six NAIA national-title appearances and three NCAA Division III national-title appearances.
Coach sparks was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June, had surgery in July and is going to wait until December to begin radiation treatments.
Lets keep Coach Sparks in our prayers. Carson Newman has been lucky to have him lead their program. He has helped a bunch of kids become men.
