Meh, if I was an OC I think I would prefer to be in the defense is optional B12 also.

Add that the Briles name is a much bigger deal in Texas than in Arky-even after the papa Briles issues.

Establishing himself as a nomad.
Like every coach. Briles spent three years at Arkansas.

Heupel spent 3 at UCF, 2 at Mizzou. 1 at Utah State, 1 yeah at Arizona. Is one 9 year stint early on enough to wash away any following nomadic tendencies?

Well, he was much better at Arkansas than Chaney was under Bielema. Had one of the best offenses in school history in 2015 haha.
I think they are both decent to good coaches. Don't think either are excellent, but I tend to think Chaney is a little better. I could be wrong though.

Chaney is a great coach.
I always wondered what his offense would be, if left to proceed as he wished.
His spread offenses at Purdue with Drew Brees and Philip Rivers (edit-- Kyle Orton) come to mind.

It’s always hard to tell how much input the head coach has for coordinators at different places but my problem with Chaney was too many double reverses to a TE inside the 5 yard line and that sort of thing. Just strange playcalls and the QB play got better once he left.

The easiest way to tell if someone is a good coordinator is if good head coaches keep hiring them. Cheney is great
