Is giving some pretty good minutes thus far. Sealing the lane for easy layups and rebounding decently. Could be fun to watch next year.

He doesn't play because he gets in foul trouble to much. Good offensively, bad defensively.

Lots of upside w/ Hall. Needs to work on his inside game. He'll be as good as he wants to be, depends on how hard he wants it. Same with the other Freshman ( can't remember his name? McCrae maybe, he's long and supposebly has a nice outside shot. I hope he turns out. Anybody know why he's not playing some now, I see him on the bench in street clothes.

he should take Maymon's minutes.... Kenny is much better than him... more consistent at this point.... Maymon is still super raw...2 time wisconsin player of year or not... maymon is just a loose cannon right now

If Kenny can control his foul problem, he should do well. He looks a lot better offensively than Maymon. Both will be needed next year. Hope McRae can get his act together and hit some outside shots.

Pearl said: “I tell Kenny all the time that I think he’s one of the best offensive players I’ve ever seen in the post. He’s just not a great rebounder now, and I tell him that’s the only thing that’s keeping him off the court. When he gets that, he’s going to be one of the best centers in the country, I guarantee that."

This has to be one of strangest statements I've heard from him (which is really saying something). 5 rebounds in 10 minutes tonight. 6 in 26 against Kentucky. Last year he had 11 in 18 minutes against South Carolina, 10 in 26 minutes against Alabama, and 6 more 5+ rebound games in limited playing time. Stevie has had 5 twice in his career.

And he plays better with more time. Rebounds per 40 minutes:
Williams 13.0; Maymon 11.8; Fields 10.4; Tobias 10.3; Hall 10.0
...but in games Kenny plays at least 10 minutes, (which knocks out the silly mop-up games) his averages is 13.5.

As I've said numerous times: Hall should play every game until he fouls out (which he undoubtedly will).

I have no idea what Pearl's talking about regarding Hall not being a solid rebounder. His rebounding numbers have been pretty impressive the past 2 games with the limited minutes he has played. I think Hall sometimes has a harder time guarding bigger guys in the post due to their size, but rebounding is not his problem. Also, he doesn't take the ball of fast enough with his back facing the basket, although his post moves with his back facing away are very nice.

Agreed. Wouldn't have had a problem with Pearl saying, "Kenny's indecisive, which costs him scoring opportunities, and makes him commit dumb fouls." But to say he doesn't rebound is into the realm of silly.

Well, Pearl had to have some reason for not playing him all season. If he is the best offensive post he's ever seen, it seems absurd to keep him on the bench.

I think it's difficult to evaluate rebounding statistics with such a small amount of playing time. That being said, I think Hall can rebound as well as or better than some of the people in front of him in the rotation.

Wow, he tore it up tonight...

Face one team with a 4 or 5 with just a smidge of talent and you see why Hall will never be anything here. Horrible footwork. Horrible body positioning. 30 pounds underweight what he needs to be a legit 4 or 5 in the SEC, which is all he could possibly be. Between the wasted scholarships on him and Woolridge, who cares more about his next public access quality rap video than he does basketball, I want to stab myself in the stomach sometimes.

You never give up the baseline in the post. They teach you that in 3rd grade rec. league. Good athlete with a low basketball IQ.
