That is not entirely correct. Hall makes no effort to establish a passing lane in order to get the ball, just because you stick your arm out, does not make you open. Also on defense, he continually lays on his opponent, no wonder he is so out of breath, he does not know how to get breathers on the floor and defend without having constant contact with the guy he suppose to be defending. Like someone else has said, "Kenny does not have any basketball IQ"!While i think Hall could play better, we are shooting pretty good at this point so the ball isnt going into the paint that much. We will see really how good he is when the shots arent falling and we have to start pumping the ball into the post. Let's hope he comes along.
I thought Hall would come on and Maymon would be a liability. It's the reverse. Maymon has really improved and Hall has regressed.
There are going to be some nights where Golden and Maymon can't always carry us and if McRae is off along with others then we're going to look like crap.
Plumlee brothers will kill our big men on the boards, but they don't score a lot, which is a good thing. Duke doesn't have a true PG in the starting lineup, so the brothers are not getting enough touches down low. Miles, isn't a scoring threat, 10 points is an oustanding game for him. Mason has the ability to score a lot, and has looked better this year, but once again he needs more touches, which he isn't getting unless Quinn Cook gets more minutes.
Cuonzo is going to have to really work with Hall. Hall's improvement means a lot towards the success of our team the next two years. He actually has some quick offensive post moves and spin moves, but is not putting himself in the right position to get the ball and is playing with little confidence. Hall isn't lazy, a couple posters need to stop saying that because it's ignorant.
It's a little early with it only being 2 games in to be writing Hall's obit. He will figure it out. He needs PT that he did not get with his injury last season.
Hall has all the athleticism in the world, but that doesn't help him. He has no idea what to do with the ball when it gets to his hands on the block. After this long I really don't know what can help him.
Kenny made some nice moves, but didn't finish in the last game. Kenny's problem is between the ears. He is the highest rated (recruit) player on that team. They made some adjustments in the 2nd half of last game to get the bigs in better position, but Hall wasn't playing at that point. Miller benefited. Hall wil be fine.
He needs to have more positive plays than negative to make me confident. Personally, I like the miller/yemi duo. They rebound better and play better D on their man.
