It'd go a long way for this team if Hall could avg 8-10 ppg and double digit rebounds. Unfortunately, he can't get out of his own way on offense.

As big a pleasant surprise as Golden has become...you'd have to consider that Hall is the biggest disappoinment.

I thought Hall would come on and Maymon would be a liability. It's the reverse. Maymon has really improved and Hall has regressed.

There are going to be some nights where Golden and Maymon can't always carry us and if McRae is off along with others then we're going to look like crap.

While i think Hall could play better, we are shooting pretty good at this point so the ball isnt going into the paint that much. We will see really how good he is when the shots arent falling and we have to start pumping the ball into the post. Let's hope he comes along.

Playing against UNCG and LAMR aren't exactly big, physical games. We'll see how he looks in SEC play when he can make some noise down in the paint. He does still look pretty lost and uncoordinated though down low, which is disappointing.

It's a little early with it only being 2 games in to be writing Hall's obit. He will figure it out. He needs PT that he did not get with his injury last season.

Kenny Hall is slow and lazy

I think we need to get one of those fireman or cops from half time to replace Kenny at the post position. They made a couple layups.

That is not entirely correct. Hall makes no effort to establish a passing lane in order to get the ball, just because you stick your arm out, does not make you open. Also on defense, he continually lays on his opponent, no wonder he is so out of breath, he does not know how to get breathers on the floor and defend without having constant contact with the guy he suppose to be defending. Like someone else has said, "Kenny does not have any basketball IQ"!

My thoughts exactly! I always thought Maymon would contribute well because he had a big body and could do some damage in the paint but he moves so much better than I imagined and his freethrow shooting is a lot better.

Plumlee brothers will kill our big men on the boards, but they don't score a lot, which is a good thing. Duke doesn't have a true PG in the starting lineup, so the brothers are not getting enough touches down low. Miles, isn't a scoring threat, 10 points is an oustanding game for him. Mason has the ability to score a lot, and has looked better this year, but once again he needs more touches, which he isn't getting unless Quinn Cook gets more minutes.

Cuonzo is going to have to really work with Hall. Hall's improvement means a lot towards the success of our team the next two years. He actually has some quick offensive post moves and spin moves, but is not putting himself in the right position to get the ball and is playing with little confidence. Hall isn't lazy, a couple posters need to stop saying that because it's ignorant.

Hall is playing his way out of a starting position. He looks horrible at this point. Our post game is going to be the major weakness with this team. We can't beat quality teams with no post game at all. Maymon is the only presence we have at the post for now and he isn't big enough to be a major factor against many teams.

I've watched him start 4 games...and arguably he's gotten worse game to game.

Kinda like how he showed more flashes his freshman year and has regressed since.

Not meaning to be harsh...or maybe I am...but it certainly looks like Hall doesn't have the skills to score in the paint. Miller, otoh, appears to have a deft touch around the basket shooting-wise and ball-handling-wise....too bad he isn't a 'big' like Kenny.

Hall has all the athleticism in the world, but that doesn't help him. He has no idea what to do with the ball when it gets to his hands on the block. After this long I really don't know what can help him.

Only Kenny can.
He shouldn't need a coach to tell him to stand up straight and stop playing like he's 6'5. He shouldn't need a coach to tell him not to let a guard go over him for a rebound, or to box out. He shouldn't need a coach to tell him to keep the ball up with his elbows out, rather than dropping it to his knees.
He is making Charles Hathaway look like Hakeem.

Kenny made some nice moves, but didn't finish in the last game. Kenny's problem is between the ears. He is the highest rated (recruit) player on that team. They made some adjustments in the 2nd half of last game to get the bigs in better position, but Hall wasn't playing at that point. Miller benefited. Hall wil be fine.

Well, while I like your optimism, I seen nothing so far that makes me think Hall will be fine.

Miller was much more impressive than Hall. Hall has the talent, question is, will Cuonzo and his staff be able to get it out of him? Josh Richardson looks good too.

He needs to have more positive plays than negative to make me confident. Personally, I like the miller/yemi duo. They rebound better and play better D on their man.

I agree, our posting and rebounding looked good when they were on the floor at the same time. Maybe that combo should be first off the bench when Maymon steps off the floor.
