heres one more and this would be my pick...Fabyon Harris. 3* coming out of hs and #53 overall PG in the country that year, here's espn right up on fabyon...

September, 2009: Harris is a smaller lead guard that is quick with or without the ball. He pushes the ball where he breaks pressure with ease by weaving in and out of defenders and does a great job delivering the ball on the money with his excellent court vision. Harris breaks down the defense and can get in the lane where he can score with acrobatic finishes. He has great body control and simply beats the defense to the rim with his speed and quickness. Harris can also score and in bunches when he gets into a groove. He can knock down the three and mid range jumper off the dribble that includes a step back. He is not a great shooter but is very respectable. Harris has the ability to play fast or slow down and run the offense. On defense he picks up the ball full court and does not let the ball handler relax due to his quick hands and feet. Harris plays with passion and competes on both ends of the floor.
April, 2009: Harris has very good quickness and can get to the paint with ease. However, for his development, he will have to learn to play the point as he seems much more comfortable as an undersized shooting guard. Harris looks to force the issue too much at times offensively and will turn the ball over or take ill-advised shots. Harris also has a tendency to over-dribble at times and bring his offense to a halt. He has range that extends out to the 3-point line and as a streaky shooter, he will sometimes hit a number of consecutive shots and then miss a number in a row. Harris also has a tendency to pout after turnovers and will have to learn to move on to the next play.

stat line to date... 5'10" 165lbs out of chicago :)

STOKES people! STOKES!!!

CCM knows who's leaving..

STOKES will be ONE AND DONE.

Do you really think he's here for the long haul?

REALLY???!!!

Stokes is not eligible for the NBA Draft until after the 2012-13 college season. Did you miss the part about Stokes being in high school this past December? He can't leave for the NBA until a year after his class finishes high school, which will happen in May.

That's good... It does seem like trae is a lot more turnover prone at the end of games.. I guess he gets a little sloppy playing so many mins.

What really pisses me off about Trae is that when we are behind late in games, he comes up the floor with the ball like we are ahead by 10. Drives me freaking crazy.

And they all seem to be turnover prone atp.

Correct. He actually counts toward the 2012 class.

With the wings they have I wouldn't be surprised if Chievous moved on. In the off season they have to address the turnover situation. Just averaging too many. The defense is solid especially with Maymon & Stokes under the basket.

chievous seems like he'd be a likely candidate but read this article and let me know what you think. chievous and ccm seem to have a great relationship, im pretty sure it goes way beyond basketball JMO

Skylar is a team player and if his family can afford to pay the difference between what he would lose from the basketball scholly and gain from other grants and scholly's, I could most definitely see him OFFERING to give his up to better the team. He doesn't deserve to have it ripped from him and I don't think CCM would even think of that, but that doesn't mean they won't have talks behind closed doors to guage Skylar's interest in doing this. We better have a guy that can come in and be a more capable backup than Washpun for this to make any sense at all though.

exactly when i said the thought of skylar losing his i wasnt suggesting it be in the same tone as it would be for miller. i would expect ccm as you said to sit down and gauge the interest, work with financial aid advisors and see what he can get, talk with his family about what they are comfortable with. as you said this kid loves tennessee thats why he chose to walk on here in the first place instead of take a scholarship offer other places. i could definitely see this being a possibility if the grants and scholarsip difference wasnt too major of a financial burden on the family.

i still am curious about miller, ive been trying to find anything that i possibly can and am coming up empty. my guess would be he is on track to graduate, but at the same time he very well may not be.

Those of you who don't know who he is, an assistant coach on the staff and is the all time scoring leader in SIU history...

A few interesting notes I'll share those who are interested and my have missed it:

-went to length to talk about Trae Golden at PG and a few different things. He did make a statement pretty much saying, we know the PG position is a position of need right now and we are out there looking. He was then asked so if your able to find someone would you move trae to SG his natural position as many are asking about? His reply was no. What you have to remember is that this is traes first year playing PG. he is probably playing way too many minutes right now but that's what is needed of him. It's a good thing for trae though to get those minutes because it'll only help in his progressions. If we're able to bring someone in you'd like for trae to play the point still and get some minutes at the 2 as well. Sound like their ideal situation would be to take some of the load off golden and probably give him say 29 minutes at point and 10 at shooting guard. This would keep him fresher down he stretch and Wouk probably improve our defense some as well as offense.

This was straight from kent Williams mouth, I am paraphrasing these arent exact quotes fwiw but pretty close. Sounds to me like the staff isn't very confident in washpun or Stanton and is looking, my guess is juco, at formidable pg's who could be a backup next year. Sounds though like this staff is confident in trae's ability to continue to progress as a PG and expect him to be the starting PG next year.

Just figured I'd add, I have been saying this or awhile. To hear a coach say it though brings a little more validation to my point though.

On another note he talked about how funny CCM is and how much fun that the staff has.

Not sure if that'd help with taking the load off. Maybe 20 a PG and 19.5 at SG and .5 at C?

my mistake typo. clearly everyone else knew what was being said but since you are having trouble i corrected it for your comprehension purposes. 20 minutes at PG, 10 at SG equaling a total of 30 minutes.
