Kentucky has the highest and second highest Rivals ranked players committed right now...Mike Gilchrist and
Marquis Teague
if they added Michael Chandler
and a Johnny O Bryant would it guarantee the 3 most talented back to back to back classes in college basketball history?

Calipari and Worldwide Wes have to know that he cannot coach well as a bench coach and that in the NBA he will not get Lebron and Kobe and Dwayne Wade on the same team. Why would he ever leave Lexington?

Bruce Pearl could get Adonis Thomas and every other reach we have on the board for 2011 and it would be a top 5 class, but it would still be behind Kentucky talent wise...As much as I dislike Cal, you have to admire his recruiting ability. If he avoids NCAA sanctions, he will have to be remembered years from now as the greatest recruiter in CBB history.

G Kevin Ware Conyers, Georgia
Rockdale County 6'4" 167 4 stars
and
G Chris Jones Memphis, Tennessee
Melrose 5'10" 160 4 stars
are the start of a great 2011 class for TN and we are in it for lots of 5 and 4 stars still like Ben McLemore and
Quincy Miller (who we have to compete against Cal for..)
here is the whole list as of today from Rivals. You have to think we have a decent shot with Tobias little brother Tyler, a 4 star forward (despite the recent article written by a young Maryland fan where he says he does not want to play with his brother), and it would seem that we would be looking for a center and another post in this group:

Does he stay home? Everyone else on the list indicates he may be happy to travel. Tough to see us beating out all these other programs, but if Hopson finally flourishes and is leaving, he could see himself stepping in.

Big talent, good connection for Pearl's staff. Despite rumblings that he felt disrespected, I think he is Pastner's to lose.

I think he will be the newest elite C to go to KY.

Cal will always pull a better class than Pearl can here at UT.....Pearl is a better coach IMO and can do more with talent so I think we'll be alright

Tennessee's best chance on that list is Kentavious Caldwell and Trevor Lacey. Both are great, if not elite players in that class. Problem is, they are both guards.

Caldwell has grown a couple inches in the last year and is now 6-6. He could develop into a SF, but he is an outstanding shooter so you want him playing around the perimeter.

Many think Lacey would commit to UT if he had a solid offer. That is old news and I do not know if officially has one or not at this point to be honest. He should though, as I see Ware as a hybrid SG/SF in college. He doesn't shoot the ball well enough to be hanging out around the 3-point line and is athletic enough and a good enough ball handler to take most SF's off the dribble and to the hole.

He whiffed with Dubuque, but I otherwise appreciate the snapshot of recruits - even if most of them are pipe dreams. A recruiting guide for basketball similar to what was done for football would be great.

It didn't take me 3-4 hours to read it. It took maybe a couple of minutes to skim over it. I don't care how long it took to produce it. I just enjoyed the info.

This post was entirely too long because I cut and pasted from rivals using the search feature. That is also where dubuque came from. No chance would I type all of that out myself. My previous post I linked was better analysis for 2011.

I have mocked enough haters on here to see the same guys show up to rip each time I write. It is not even 10 people, but they are some of the most active. Some of them I really enjoy reading sometimes...hatvol does not admit when he is dead wrong but he does write very well sometimes, especially interviews. His feelings toward our coach make him seem like a black member of the kkk.

Basketvolsfan, bigpapavol and hardwood fanatic are all fun to talk and sometimes argue with.

Then there are unemployed law students, taking shots and hoping for a job.

Some poor people struggle with reading and writing and assume because it takes them a sunday afternoon to read comics that it takes me hours to write something I do not edit usually and put on the internet after 10 minutes of writing while I watch tv or read.

I like mhf. I'm just trying to figure out why the 1st responder had to hit quote. Geez. Felt like I was trying to kick a soccer ball in a corn field.
